MotoGP » Home MotoGP title not a target for Marquez

Q: How do sponsors help him tip the bike into a corner without the rear wheel being on the ground? A: by paying his wages. this deferred cash is then focused unseen (like so much laser beam) for 20 years into paying the wages of Japan's brightest boffin engineers who (armed with Skynet supercomputers) analyse geometry for countless hours, after which point they design kick a$$ ally twin spars/swingarms with just the right ratio of flex to stiffness so when the tyre makes contact with the ground...? he doesn't spit the dummy. seeing this, our inherently frail nature kicks in and declares him "Superman".

MotoGP » Second wrist surgery for Nicky Hayden

re: "Totally agree with TalentFan" i totally agree with Conrice. btw, Nicky should be just fine. I doubt that anybody in the grandprix paddock can present an x-ray of their throttle hand that can top an x-ray of my throttle hand. enough metal and screws in the wrist to qualify me as "bionic". eat it Steve Austin...! not full range of motion, but to recover 95% when i was told "game over" is a miracle. was only out of commish for 3 months, and that was 8 years ago, been riding ever since. the world's upside down guys, orthopaedic surgeons should get paid like a corrupt government official or oil sheik and vice versa.

re: "I do feel that MM's performance has been slightly flattered by always having the best equipment and rock solid sponsorship" slightly...??? re: "It'll be interesting to see how MM stacks up against the all time greats" what'll be interesting is to see him succumb to the law of NATCORK (iron clad this) by moving from the hedge of protection afforded him by Repsol cash...? and riding "ne'er-do-well" kit like the Ducati or the Suzuki. only then will we see sparks fly, and I do mean sparks. talking about the kind created by steel parts grinding themselves (end over end) against asphalt in protest when he attempts to go elbow down with either of those 2 machines. he'll be "elbow down" alright... elbows, shoulders, windscreen, exhaust...

re: "It's hard to know if MM winning in this way is bad for the show or good" it's good (for now). I for one would like to see him sweep the season. that's right. mind the motivation for this doesn't come from anything to do with his talent...? it comes from an awareness of REALITY. it comes from the recognition that what he's doing takes the coordinated effort of tens if not hundreds of unsung people. tyres, suspension, engine reliability, chassis, weather, etc. that's a lot of variables to manage. as we saw with Bradl and his "right tyres/wrong set up" problem in Germany, all's it takes is screwing the pooch on any single item to blow the race (see entry for NATCORK). a race that was clearly LCR's for the losing. Marcus riding the bike across the line is but 1 out of 1,000 things that have to be done correctly BEFORE he entertains us with the theatrics of performing "monkey hops" in the pits from 5 million dollar bike to 5 million dollar bike.

re: "“Sure it would not be the same as winning in Aragon if I won in Australia maybe, because all my family and everyone will be [at Aragon]. But it is too difficult to think that the second part of the season will continue in this way." re: "If Aragon proves out of reach, the following Japanese round would be the perfect location for Honda to celebrate." hi-jinks alert...!!! detector pegged off scale...!!!
