MotoGP » MotoGP pay TV 'something we must face'

re: "MotoGP's increasing shift to pay-per-view TV coverage continues to be a source of controversy..." ...for those with devaluing mentalities. re: "While many fans are naturally against the move". breaking news, those weren't fans...? those were BEGGARS...! re: "That creates a vicious circle where teams become ever more dependent on hand-outs from Dorna, which in turn needs the bigger fees offered by the subscription channels to support the teams." see, no free lunch. and don't act like you've never heard the phrase either, I've only spent the last 3-5 years getting you acclimated to it. the more educated we become regarding our roles in the grand scheme...? the better consumers we're gonna make.

re: "all i see is greed" tell me about it... greedy consumers. like looking through Hubble. somewhere in history, we've allowed ourselves to be BRAINWASHED into thinking the collective selfishness we display at the retail level...? is somehow magically different and less nefarious than the singular selfishness displayed by say...? a corporate exec sitting on high...? breaking news gentlemen, GREED IS GREED, and it's all damaging REGARDLESS of whether it's displayed at the top, or at the bottom. now if any this shocks you, it's only because these realizations AREN'T something your minds (particularly your defence mechanisms) would EVER allow you to conclude on your own. you WANT to keep doing what you're doing. you WANT to believe that behaviour is "consequence free". yup, you and my 16 year old.

re: "but I would much rather 5,000,000 watched free and made our sport even greater." somebody's not paying attention. you've missed the fundamental premise that there is no FREE...? there is only the shifting of costs so the burden is born by somebody whose name you don't know. re: "This is not an elitist sport, this is not Ballet, not Opera..." well you're right about one thing kid, this is BUSINESS. re: "we don't turn our nose up at people that can't afford it" I can see you are wrestling with multiple epiphanies today, that's gotta be tough. re: "it should be enjoyed by as many people as possible." I agree, now I need you to goggle search the term... "pie in the sky idealism".

MotoGP » PICS: Vinales' Suzuki goes pop...

re: "A few lines from the story: In racing, you have to be an optimist. It's compulsory." a few stories from REALITY: optimists don't put men on the moon, land robots on comets, nor design aircraft that travel from Heathrow to JFK in under 3 hours (see entry for Concorde). Q: you know who does this...? A: Engineers. quick somebody tell Oxley s1 says, "optimism never has been (nor ever will be) part of the lexicon".

MotoGP » PICS: Vinales' Suzuki goes pop...

re: "The engine problems do not worry Suzuki." clearly. stats show they've scattered 3 engines in less than 30 days. that's 1 engine for every year they've been away. if they feel they've sat in at a game that was above their heads...? it would be best for all concerned (riders especially) to come out and admit it now before they get too far along. Hamamatsu, I extend you this one and only opportunity to back away, regroup for 2016, and yet save face... choose wisely.
