MotoGP » Injured Edwards to undergo surgery

Damn shame Colin will miss the next few races, must have landed very hard,he's broken his collar bone into 5 pieces.Surgery was scheduled for 8am today(saturday),hope he makes a fast recovery. They should give Chas Davies a go on his bike, made a good impression on a crap Ducati at Laguna a few years a go without ever testing a moto gp machine.Just my opinion on this issue.15 riders left is rubbish though.Speedy recovery Colin, best wishes.

WSBK » Toseland hoping to be fully fit for Aragon

The only way a rider can figure out how much an injury will prevent him from riding the bike properly so soon after is to actually take part in a race to find out,it was always going to be touch and go as to whether Toseland was fit enough to actually race so he had to find out and the answer was he's come back too soon. You can't knock him for trying and the injury was bad enough to almost finish his career so he's done well to be there in the first place.I think he deserves respect for his determination in trying to come back when he did.The fact that the bike is fairly crap was always going to be an issue even if the injury wasn't.I think BMW need to redesign their electronics to make them actually usable, everyone says the electronics on that bike are way too complicated.

WSBK » Biaggi lectures Rea after 'crazy' claim

It's a bit rich coming from Biaggi on how to educate another rider to "learn from his mistakes",It's a shame he doesn't take his own advice because he certainly hasn't learned from any of his many mistakes over the years as we've seen a few times already this year.I didn't see any actual footage of the accident but Rea's reaction in the mud directly after it and Biaggi's sheepish response seemed to tell it's own story.

BSB » Byrne turns it around with Thruxton win

smoknfastkiwi , Shakey's return to form has more to do with him now being on an up to date full factory bike and not the second hand bag of sh*te he raced in WSB.The last time Shakey raced in BSB he was on a full factory bike with current electronics and dominated the championship.I hope he is able to take part in the British round of the WSB championship as a wildcard on this current HM Plant Honda to to see what he can do in WSB on a factory bike.I wouldn't say the BSB championship is easy this year,i think Tommy Hill may give Shakey a good run once he regains full fitness and it's a shame Stuart Easton is now ruled out for the season, that could have changed everything and would have made the championship even better. It's been great so far though.Shakey is just proving what he can do a decent bike, good rider.

BSB » Lowes: This is for Stuart

Fantastic that Alex has put the bike on pole, this young chap is a class act (well, both Lowes twins are). What would be ultra cool now would be for him to win at least one race tomorrow, not just for Stuart but more has a huge f**k you to the WFR team ! I think the weather is going to be crap but lets hope he shines.Good luck to him, what a star :-)

MotoGP » Roberts, Lawson to ride with fans at Laguna

totally agree with Till263 when he says GOAT should be the riders of the 50s and 60s and for a number of reasons. For me the greatest motorcycle racer EVER was Mike Hailwood. He may not have won as many world titles or races as some of the other guys (pretty near though) but nobody in racing history has ever retired from the sport and returned 11 years later on the toughest circuit in the world racing motorcycles that had evolved 11 years and then WON ! To return again the following year on a modern GP bike (RG 500) and win again and set a new lap record "without even trying" will never be matched. The guy was simply a one off and a class act.

MotoGP » Roberts, Lawson to ride with fans at Laguna

Yamacka, how wrong can one person be ? Roberts entire career as a rider was with Yamaha and as a team manager he ran yamaha bikes until he fell out with them late in his management/team owner career. You say Rainey is more worthy? For sure Rainey was great,he won 3 world title for yamaha team Roberts !! They call Kenny Roberts "KING" for a reason,he was THAT GOOD !! Roberts will always be associated with Yamaha especially the black and yellow clours of yamaha USA.He was also the first US 500cc world champion.I mean,do you want me to continue as to why Roberts is more than worthy of ANYTHING ?? Kenny is and will always be KING !! (yeah i'm a big fan !)

WSBK » Vermeulen to miss Miller

Is the Kawasaki a jinxed machine, seems like a few riders end up being seriously injured racing one in one form or another ( Easton being the latest ) . Thing's don't look good for Chris and I can't help thinking they won't get much better this year.I don't see him racing for Kawasaki next year at this rate and I think that could be a turning point in his favour.I think he should return to Ten Kate Honda next year,it could be the perfect return for all the correct reasons.I think he would be better for them than Xaus.

BSB » Tinmouth leaves Splitlath Aprilia

RawDawg, the full factory Aprilia won the WSB title last year, not a non factory bike, even the non factory Aprilias in WSB have better electronics and engines than this one.The bike Jenny has been riding so far is as stock as you can get it even though her engine was said to be factory tuned, not sure if that was ever the case for her bike, and the team is more or less a bottom of the list hardly funded team.At the first race meeting they used the stock over the counter engine which blew up a couple of times during practice and the team had no spare parts come race day hence why Jenny couldn't ride.I don't think Jenny is much to blame for her results, she had hardly any track time before the season started and the team seems pretty cr*p to be honest.I don't think they have the budget to be in BSB and seemed to use Jen for some free publicity of which they've got a lot.Either way,it's a shame they have parted company as it was good to see her in BSB.
