Competition this year is tough, Rossi, Stoner, Lorenzo, Pedrosa will always occupy the podium (in the dry). That leaves everyone else battling for 5th, and Dovi has been the best at this (when not crashing).

As JT hints, everyone is waiting on Lorenzo and Yamaha, once that is settled then things will slowly fall in place as they go down the pecking order amongst riders. JT is a good guy, he is very focused, but with the amount of rides being so limited in GP, his seat is quite a hot commodity. We just have to wait and see who wants to ride next year. I hope JT doesn't put all the pressure on himself as he did at last years GP. As an American and MotoGP fan, I wish luck to JT at your home.

True Max had a good opportunity on the Suzuki earlier this year, but got taken out of the year by someone else's doing. I'm sure as a team owner Ten Kate knows what he is doing when picking a guy to ride his machine. Saying he needs to win or go away is a bit harsh.

I think Checa can be an outstanding rider at certain tracks, but in all honestly, this move to a privateer Ducati is just one step closer to retirement for the veteran. That said, he'll still probably finish around the 8-12th overall next year.

How could you miss Guinters in BSB, he was hardly there this year. Ok, but that said, at the beginning of the season (pre-Brookes missle) he was awesome, the only one who looked to have the speed Camier showed. Great to see him move up, although I think it's a bit of a risk (seeing as he didn't have a full season of performance to show), but come next season he should be good to go. Suzuki could very well be a front runner again in 2010, championship though not so sure? They're going to have to beat a very strong Ducati Haga/Fabi team, a tall order.

I'm a big Haga fan and a big fan of Spies. May the championship come down to the last race and the best man win. The attention the series will get if this happens will be tremendous.

I was there at the Indy Mile last Saturday to watch the event. It was a real thrill to see Roberts out there, he didn't hold back on that thing. The crowd went wild, lots of respect for Roberts.

Fabrizio, big talent (you don't keep up with Haga and Spies if you suck) but terrible wisdom. The line between balls and recklessness is something he needs to draw.

I love this quote from Rutter "I can't wait to make a nuisance of myself at the front of the field." Rutter has been Mr. Stand-In all year, and doing remarkably well for it as well.

After reading the article it sounds to me like he is convinced to go to Moto2. Granted this will depend on the team/contract/etc. I say go for it, I want to see some of the good WSS guys head to Moto2 and wipe up over those little Spanish and Italians youngsters. Moto2 will be a big unknown and someone with the right talent and team could blow away the competition. I see Cal as the one to do this. I would have said Laverty but he has no interest in returning to the GP circuit.

What satellite team wouldn't want to get bikes from Meregalli's team? True the R1 doesn't have the best top end (as I remember at Knockhill Stuart Easton was blasting past Camier on the straights, but that could also do with Stuart's small size), but it makes up with great tire life over race distance and seems to pull like a Ducati out of the corners. Stiggy with R1's next year would be interesting for sure, if the rumor holds true. Although they have done magic with the Honda in one year. Haslam was tremendous at the start of the season, we'll see how he goes after the summer break.

I agree with the rest of you. It's hard to believe Pitt went from front runner in nearly every race last year to struggling this year. That said, good point made about Crutchlow and Laverty, they are above the rest in ability and have really raised the bar. 2008 had loads of WSS races where the winner wasn't known until the final lap, granted we have seen a few good ones this year (like Brno), but it's simply not the same. One thing's for sure Laverty has shown the issue with Pitt is not the Honda per se, definitely something not up to par with the Ten Kate garage.
