Competition this year is tough, Rossi, Stoner, Lorenzo, Pedrosa will always occupy the podium (in the dry). That leaves everyone else battling for 5th, and Dovi has been the best at this (when not crashing).

As JT hints, everyone is waiting on Lorenzo and Yamaha, once that is settled then things will slowly fall in place as they go down the pecking order amongst riders. JT is a good guy, he is very focused, but with the amount of rides being so limited in GP, his seat is quite a hot commodity. We just have to wait and see who wants to ride next year. I hope JT doesn't put all the pressure on himself as he did at last years GP. As an American and MotoGP fan, I wish luck to JT at your home.

I will have to agree that MotoGP has not been kind to former superbike riders. The under average sized former 250 riders have made the adaptation very quickly (Jorge won a race at the early stages of the season last year). Although it is a goal of most riders (minus Mladin) to one day ride in MotoGP, I don't think Spies would have the success he has had in WSBK. Although I honestly didn't think he was going to be as good as he has been. I'd love to see him stay in WSBK, but I have a feeling he will take a Tech3 ride with promise of factory support (if Yamaha is willing). So who leaves Tech3, JT or Edwards? Both were great to watch in WSBK.

Just like Elias to put in some good rides around this time of year (contract time). But unfortunately, this year, it's probably not going to matter. Where will Tony be next year, Moto2 perhaps?

The old bug on the visor excuse. Hahaha, just kidding. Anyone who rides knows how much of a pain in the **** a bug smashed on the visor is. In a race where 10ths of a second matter, any bit of distraction matters. Good ride by Melandri though, that pass Elias made on him in the final corner was classic Elias stuff, pushing Melandri out wide to the rumble strip.

People "hate" Hayden because some Americans come across as a little too fan happy and zealous, they tend to pump him up, this comes across as them gloating to the fact that Hayden is better then he may appear. Also many people think his championship came down to only luck, which I honestly think is partially true but not the whole story. A lot of people hate Pedrosa for the simple fact he is short in stature and flat in personality, both true, but hardly grounds for hatred. Then there are just the S. stirrers that like to get a rise out of people while hiding behind an internet persona.

Melandri says "..but in any case I'll stay positive and never give up!" Does that mean he would "never give up" and take a ride in WSBK / Moto2, etc if Gresini doesn't offer him a ride. I really don't see anyone else in MotoGP that would extend an offer.

Elias seems like a nice guy, a bit crazy with his riding sometimes, but still a fast racer. Unfortunately I think this will be his last season in GP. With the addition of Simoncelli to Gresini, it means only 1 seat is left, and Melandri I would imagine is hot for it so he can stay. My prediction, Elias to WSBK, de Angelis to Moto2. Who knows though, Elias has always turned it up a notch come contract time.

"Sete is just too old" Ask Troy Bayliss then how at almost 40s year old he won a world championship? I laughed when after losing the 2007 championship people were saying Vale was getting too old, get over it people, age is not the factor here. Moto GP has came down to 2.5 teams with 5 riders battling for the podium. No one else has a chance. 2006 was the best year, not because the "Kenlucky" kid won, but because the racing was outstanding all year long. Then they quickly fugged it up the following year. Making the sport massively more expensive at a time when finances world wide were getting tighter and tighter has led to this. An immediate change to cheapen the sport is needed.

When has anything Kawasaki related resulted in something good lately? Lascorz team is the only one that comes to mind. Any team or rider that is signing with Kawasaki has to know up front they are doomed.

I'm kind of torn on should the likes of Crutchlow/Laverty/etc give a go at Moto2. I agree it will most likely be dominated by Spanish & Italians, but how many of them will possess 600cc 4 stroke skill that Crutchlow/Laverty/etc will have. True its a big risk with it being a "new" class, but I would think these guys would be a really hot commodity for Moto2. Granted the paycheck in that new series may be a big let down and this is dissuading them. I could see a spot for Laverty opening up on Ten Kate, Checa's perhaps? Kiyo is most likely safe due to his being there at the graces of HRC. If Spies leaves to GP maybe a spot on Yamaha Italia for Crutchlow?
