Competition this year is tough, Rossi, Stoner, Lorenzo, Pedrosa will always occupy the podium (in the dry). That leaves everyone else battling for 5th, and Dovi has been the best at this (when not crashing).

As JT hints, everyone is waiting on Lorenzo and Yamaha, once that is settled then things will slowly fall in place as they go down the pecking order amongst riders. JT is a good guy, he is very focused, but with the amount of rides being so limited in GP, his seat is quite a hot commodity. We just have to wait and see who wants to ride next year.
