WSBK » Crutchlow: I never meant to appear arrogant

A few questions. How can they be struggling and off pace when Cal set the pole for the weekend and broke Spies record by almost half a second. Unless it was some sort of mystery fast lap, he and the bike surely know what to do on that track to get around fast. Granted I know race setup/tires are different then qualifying but typically if you qualify good you go fast on race day (Smrz being the notable exception). Secondly why would Yamaha completely change a World championship bike for this year? I can understand the change to the gas tank to address what happened at Monza but "completely" changing it seems very risky.

WSBK » Toseland back on top in Portimao practice

Looks like it should be a great weekend of racing at Portimao. This little practice result will really boost the confidence of JT, hopefully he will get the Yamaha up front for the race. It's going to be a very long season for Vermi and Sykes on the green career killer. Haga should be able to put it together come the final session, he always appears like a sandbagger.

MotoGP » de Puniet denied fourth by Barbera block?

RdP sure knows how to put in a few fast laps. The real question is, as it has always been with him, can he turn it into consistent results. One thing is for sure, he managed to keep the bike out of the gravel last year. Who knows, maybe he can improve it one more step and start putting closer to that top 5 zone more frequently? Given the competition this year, it's going to be hard for him at achieve anything better then 7-10th.

WSBK » Toseland, Crutchlow pin hopes on updates

I'm going to give these guys 3 maybe 4 races to get that Yamaha back to the front where we know it can be. It's way too early to be critical of the riders. Yamaha runs awesome at Portimao and has had loads of testing at the track, there is no reason why they shouldn't go well there. If either Crutchie or JT still haven't figured it out by the 3rd race in Valencia or god forbid Assen, then we can start talking about rider. Crutchlow certainly showed good preseason speed, JT seems a mental case to me. In the end though I hope they both do well and can compete for wins. WSBK is great racing, the more at the front the better. :)

WSBK » Portimao to air in HD

You guys don't even realize how great you have it. I watched BSB all last year for the first time. Eurosport puts on a top notch coverage. I like Whitham, Burnicle and Haydon. Tony is the only douche and but even he wasn't that bad. Compare the effort with what our Speed Channel gives us for AMA, it's utter ****e. Listen to Ralph Shaheen and Scott Russell for an afternoon for some real pain.

WSBK » ten Kate: There are ten potential winners

Let's not forget about Roger Lee Hayden, I mean come on, he's a Hayden and he's on a Kawasaki, surely he is a title contender. :) Ok I kid, but on a serious note. WSBK certainly looks great this year. Rea is a little wild but very fast, Max N will need some time. Haga and Fabrizio will be front runners from the start and all year. If Biaggi gives it just a little more he could very likely have a shot at the title. Yamaha have a great bike and team and two very hungry riders. Suzuki have a well proven Haslam and a known fast (when not banged up) Ginters. I'm not a fan of Kawasaki but I hope they get their respective sheet together and do some good this year.

MotoGP » Hayden searching for Stoner’s 'special connection’

I like Hayden, his spirit to keep fighting is admirable but I don't think the "new" 1000cc's is going to be any different for him then now. I say this because the technology has changed and he has been hard to adapt to it. He's certainly not the only one. I will agree with others however, he could be a contender of "best of the rest" fighting it out for 5th-7th place with Edwards, Dovi, Cappers, and Spies.
