6 agree.
3 disagree.
My, my... haven't Ferrari fans gone quiet in this thread? Don't tell me they actually realise 'their' High and Mighty team is above the law?
Mad Max needs to pack his bags and **** off to Italy where I'm sure John Toad and Co would welcome him as a fully-fledged team member...
McLaren, not to mention every single non-Ferrari F1 fan, has every right to feel abused with what's gone on this season.

Vodafone in Holden switch
4 agree.
Well I suppose it's a season later than some expected but this is still massive news - and very disappointing for someone who supports the Blue Oval (even though 888 and my own fave DJR aren't officially manufacturer-supported). So how will 7 introduce the new season? ... "Welcome to the reborn Formula Holden Championship..."

Villeneuve targeted for V8 seat.
I have to admit to a bit of concern. As much as I still like JV, as a driver his best is behind him. Look at Le Mans last year for starters: he was miles slower than the rest of the drivers in the team, not just in his own car. It'd be a real shame to see him running around at the back of the V8 grid with the rookies... I hope I'm proven wrong - because I'd love to see JV come Down Under...

Skaife calls time on glittering career.
1 disagrees.
One certainly can't deny the success Skaife's had over the years, particularly through the nineties and into the early noughties. On the other hand, nobody can deny the last couple of years has seen a general decline in his car speed. That's been seriously exposed by GT in season 2008 at many rounds. The thing that upsets me most about this is that my favourite driver now moves to the dark side to replace him...

Jim Beam reveals enduro partnerships.
1 agrees.
It most certainly will be odd seeing 17 minus the Johnson name but they said it: Davo''s done an incredible job in the 18 car all season so on a purely team-first level, it makes complete sense. I''ll be cheering the boys on, no matter what number''s on the windows...

Mills: It will turn around for Solberg and I.
1 agrees.
I certainly hope they can continue to develop and get faster. The team needs a win to really lift them. Once they get the first one, hopefully things will flow on from there. As great as it'd be to see Petter on the top step again, I'm hanging out for Aussie Atko to grab win number one. That will be a more momentous day...

Cochrane: IRL must not hold Surfers to ransom.
1 agrees.
Sad but true your comment, Michael. Trouble is, it's worked for Bernie for so long, now every other promoter thinks they can use the same methods...

Raw Dawg, what colour is your neck...? No, Australia doesn't have a top-rated open-wheel series. Nor does it need one: there are more than enough to go around as it is. Yes, Nascar is the most popular tin-top series in the world, but what's the population of the US against Oz? Crowds are not fifteen times larger there than Down Under... As much as I loved the 'old days', Gold Coast Indy is bigger than Indy. Truth be told, I'd rather see sportscars on track. Imagine the Le Mans Series visiting. Race of a Tousand Years again...?

No action planned after handbags at Mid-Ohio.

Well we're already half way there on the photo shoot, aren't we, Jenny?
As for the 'hissy fits' I think they've already worn thin...

Holmatro... Mansell won in F1 before AND after IndyCar. JV and Monty were and are respectively both top class drivers. Danica is brilliant on ovals but those don't tend to feature in F1. Notice how far down she qualifies and finishes in almost every road or street course. Don't think there's an F1 future there somehow... I still like Danica (or maybe that's 'fancy her'!) but this 'circus' every time she feels aggrieved is getting a little long in the tooth now...

Ralf: Ferrari should choose a number one.
1 disagrees.
Ooh, lots of Ralf fans here! Just like when he was crashing -- I mean, driving -- in F1 himself. It's too early in the season - even at its midpoint - to select a 'chosen one' in the team: Kimi and Felipe have been brilliant and horrendous in equal measure thus far. Who knows what will happen from race to race...? If, and only if, one clearly builds momentum should he be selected as the go-to guy. With Heikki's bad luck this year, McLaren's decision is much easier...
