My, my... haven't Ferrari fans gone quiet in this thread? Don't tell me they actually realise 'their' High and Mighty team is above the law?
Mad Max needs to pack his bags and **** off to Italy where I'm sure John Toad and Co would welcome him as a fully-fledged team member...
McLaren, not to mention every single non-Ferrari F1 fan, has every right to feel abused with what's gone on this season.

Ralf prepares to take flight with limited options.
1 agrees.
Spot on, Chris. I also neglected to mention Johnny 'Sherbert' in my list. Another ex-F1 driver who well and truly made his mark at Le Mans in recent years. JV wasn't the quickest of his team but at least he gave it a shot. Likewise with Loeb - and another Seb; Bourdais. Now he was quick...

Totally in agreement with Chu. Who in this world could honestly claim to love motoring yet not have any desire to do Le Mans? Come on... DC, McNish, Lammers, Pirro, Schneider, Webber... all these guys have done both Sportscars and F1. If anyone has cause for disliking La Sarthe it's Webber... What's Ralf scared of; that some up-and-comer will show him up? This is why F1 drivers today are nothing compared to the 'old school' racers. In generations past, drivers in the top flight would drive anything they could get into. Now they're so overprotected and won't drive anything other than what they're contracted to.

Dennis: I'm not quitting.
1 agrees.
3 disagree.
Gotta love the divide, haven't you...? Ferrari fans screaming for Ron Dennis to retire; McLaren fans hoping he stays. I have to say I lean more towards the latter team (and situation). Dennis was big enough to 'take one for the team' and not appeal the FIA's rather heavy-handed decision. He also knows how things work. Maybe micro-manages a little too much for some peoples' tastes (JPM, FAlonso among them) but is a true racer. And there aren't enough of them at the top level of the sport - or business, whichever comes first. Anybody who thinks Ferrari doesn't do worse is kidding themselves. I used to support them until they started bending rules. Difference is, they get away with it.

Ingall steps into Commodore after five years.

I just have to wonder why, especially when he was still contracted not just to SBR but Ford itself...

Apparently Rusty doesn't mind being further down the grid. Okay so SBR wasn't on world-beating form the last two seasons but they're still right up at the pointy end of the grid. PMM has very rarely done that in its history...

TKR's future to be decided tomorrow.
1 agrees.

Apparently the situation's receiving more coverage in NZ than it is in Oz - understandable, I guess, given that's where the team's based. If these 'accusations' are indeed baseless then they should give it up. If, on the other hand, the team is in a financial hole, David John should call it quits - before things get even worse than already claimed by the press...

That's one helluva line-up. Who's going to be able to stop that freight train?

It's good to see 'Vette has confirmed its entry so early, but it'd be nice to see some competition, be it Aston or otherwise. Prodrive has the resources - if it can look at entering F1 that's a given - so why only concentrate on Le Mans and not the series bearing the same name...?

Tander wins closest ever V8 Supercar title.
2 disagree.
Haven't seen races two or three yet but, having read how close it was, I'm sure they'll be thrillers to view. As someone who stands in the blue corner, it's a little hard to take, but at least GT - with so many race wins this year - deserved the title, very much unlike his teammate the previous year.

Adelaide F1 circuit a possibility for Clipsal 500.
2 disagree.
Great news about the 'original' circuit being reinstated, should that actually happen. However, I'm right with TC in his summation that not upgrading facilities is a backwards move. Adelaide's is the best-attended event of the entire V8 season, and it could be even bigger. If the State Government's behind it, why knock back the proposal?
