MotoGP » PICTURES: Nicky Hayden’s special Laguna livery.

Some people who post on this site are possibly the most ignorant in the world. If you truly understood the purpose of racing, you would realize it is a business. Yes there are immense amounts of passion and dedication but at the end of the day it is to sell bikes. There is a reason why companies advertise as world champions, so they can also claim they sell the best bikes. It is what you call marketing and that is what Ducati is doing right now. Good for Nicky that they let him do this, but its also because the U.S. has a very stong Ducati following and they want to sell that limited edition bike and this will expose it further. Also thats a 2010 model 848, so maybe Nicky on the GP10?

WSBK » Spies happy despite double denial

I agree with that last comment, but it just goes to show Spies' true talent. If you look back at all the races and Superpoles, he has only legitametly been beaten by Haga once. Haga is great and I would never argue that, but in my mind Spies is no doubht the best rider in WSBK. He's one every Superpole along with every race except for Valencia when he crashed out the first race and coming home in 2nd was much more important than trying to push too hard and crash out in race two. There's not one other race or Superpole where the results actually matter where he has not won or had some sort of problem and yes you need to have the points to win championships but HE IS THE REAL DEAL.

WSBK » Hopkins eyeing 'as many wins as possible'

I love reading these posts because some of them are extremely insane! First off I am big Ben Spies fan. I have personally met him and talked to him for a good bit and he is a class act just as noted by Haslam along with many others. I also happen to be a big Hopper fan, and with that said he has absolutely NO shot of winning the title this year so whoever stated that earlier is clearly not thinking properly. He should have some quality podium finishes once he has adjusted to the machinery and who knows maybe will be able to pull off a win late in the season. Spies is still my pick to win the title and hopefully we will see him with the Monster squad or somewhere else in GP come 2010!
