38 agree.
After this year Spies will have "EXPERIENCE" on practically all of the tracks the MotoGP guys run on. Lets take a quick look at what he has done on the 2 tracks he actually had experience on this year... Complete Anhilitation over guys who have raced there for years! If you are vain enough to believe that this kid wont be competitive in MotoGP you need to snap to, before you wet the bed!
The one clear message he has sent to every team owner in the world is that he can adapt rapidly to a new bike, team, tires and tracks at the drop of a hat, and be the fastest guy at nearly every freaking one of them! That kids, is lightning in a bottle and all of them want it, price no object!

Jorge Lorenzo threatened by former manager?
7 agree.
These Spanish megalomaniac managers are the topic and this guy is a doozy! I would love to know the full story on this one. I am still sticking with Lorenzo for the win this weekend. If Pedrosa keeps riding on the limit under the influence of pain meds he is going to destroy himself! Somebody needs to advise him when to reign it in or he will have no future.

Capirossi, Vermeulen excited by new parts.
1 agrees.
The only way this team is going to win a race at the moment is to hope for rain.

POLL: What has surprised you most in 2009?
4 agree.
Why is there no "WSBK rises to be the Premier Motorcycle Road racing series on the planet in 2009" entry! MotoGP is swimming in its own effluent now, AMA Superbike is a snooze now that Nascar destroyed it and even the BSB series has been lacking excitment. The friendly rivalry between Spies and Haga, Fabrizio getting a big head after being handed the win in Monza, Leon Haslam's performance on the Stiggy Honda, Shakeys lack of results, BMW and Aprilia fielding new bikes, and how about the records! Its all great stuff!

Lorenzo: I’ve always been fast at 'home'.

3 disagree.
I predict Catalunya will get a new Lorenzo's land flag this time around.

'Positive' Hayden hoping for test boost.
13 agree.
3 disagree.
All the Hayden bashing is getting tiresome. Lets get something straight, Rossi is and always will be the benchmark against which all competitors will be judged! Nicky was the first guy since Rossi came along to truly win the Championship from him (I don't really count Kenny Junior in 2000)and he was the last 990cc champ and that Isn't easy just ask any of the twenty something other MotoGP racers who would kill(!) to say that! Ducati needs the bike to work for someone other than Casey for a lot of reasons. Corporate pride, constructors title, etc. But most of all they need to have someone in a position(ala Fabrizio in WSBK)to take points away from the team leaders main (fiat Yamaha)rivals!

Hacking to continue with Kawasaki
2 agree.
5 disagree.
All you Hacking bashers pay attention. This guy will take points away from several BSB and WSBK regulars at these two venues! The guy is in tremendous physical condition (he and Spies used to train together) he has Spies to give him a few pointers about Donington anyway and if you have never seen this guy race he has the skills to get it done. All the snivelling crap about him roughing up his fellow Kawasaki team mates in Utah is just mindless blather. They put him on the bike to get results and he was definetely doing that. You can only be so civil to someone before you have no choice but to stuff it up the inside of them just ask Kenan!
Oh and Having Rachel Hacking to look at is

Spies eager to chase Haga down
1 agrees.
Just for the sake of conversation I went and looked at the results from Haga and Fabrizio at Misano for past three years. 2008-Haga 4,10 Fabrizio-9,5 2007-Haga DNF,2 Fabrizio DNF,DNF 2006-Haga 5,3 Fabrizio- DNF, 6 Hardly setting the world on fire. Spies is going into the next round ablaze! If Spies adapts to Misano as rapidly as he has the last 7 tracks He is going to crush these two!

Pedrosa's 217mph top speed record confirmed.
2 agree.
Any idea if Pedrosa was alone on track when he did this speed? If he got a tow of any kind it would definitely help. Regardless you have to have the corner exit speed to fire it down the straight with full gusto and that is something Pedrosa does very well!

Lorenzo: Like a movie!
3 agree.
2 disagree.
If Lorenzo can stay healthy the championship is within his grasp this year. For him to respond to the adversity laid in his lap race day and come away with the result he had is amazing. If the race had gone 1 or two more laps it would have been a very different finish I think.

Spies celebrates 'proud' achievement
RE:"worldstupidbikesdotcom the official web****e could deliver their promised live streaming...." Yesterday was such Bull-sh1t! I finally got on twitter to find out who had won Superpole because all of the major websites were lagging about 20 minutes on the results. That's not working for me. Have to strike while the iron is hot and Ben's is white hot at the moment! If he doesn't try it (MotoGP) soon he will be stuck in WSBK and while that isn't a bad thing it will never be considered the pinnacle. Spies has brought so much more attention to WSBK this year its insane. MotoGP is in the crapper at the moment and with he Simoncelli & Bautista about to move to MotoGP it will be fun to watch.
