After this year Spies will have "EXPERIENCE" on practically all of the tracks the MotoGP guys run on. Lets take a quick look at what he has done on the 2 tracks he actually had experience on this year... Complete Anhilitation over guys who have raced there for years! If you are vain enough to believe that this kid wont be competitive in MotoGP you need to snap to, before you wet the bed!
The one clear message he has sent to every team owner in the world is that he can adapt rapidly to a new bike, team, tires and tracks at the drop of a hat, and be the fastest guy at nearly every freaking one of them! That kids, is lightning in a bottle and all of them want it, price no object!

Valencia MotoGP - Qualifying times.

Anybody that believes Stoner would not have been in the middle of the Rossi Lorenzo scrap all season is fooling themselves. He has come back in a big way! Too bad we as fans were deprived of 3 races of what could have been. Nicky is even having a decent run. And Spies is just doing precisely what he said he would do! Expect more of the same next season. No bull, just methodical progression!

Ben Spies sets an interesting top speed.
4 agree.
2 disagree.
So much for the "he's too big for a Motogp bike" theory! His corner exit speed surely helps him get down the straight. But 306 aint bad.

Lorenzo is going to be sporting a new Halo ODST themed helmet for this race. Self promotion to the hilt.

250: Barbera leads Spanish 1-2-3

This race will be a dog fight. All of them want to say they won the last ever 250 race. To say nothing of the championship. This is the sort of motivation Troy Bayliss had when he came here for the last 990cc MotoGP race! I hope Aoyama comes out swinging.

7 agree.
Stoner is starting exactly where he left off. He is 1.3 seconds off his pole time set on Q's last year. I would bet he will get close to it in Qualifying. And I would not bet against him on Sunday. He has an axe to grind! As for Spies This is the first time he has ever turned a wheel on the bike. Let me remind you of where he started at Valencia the 1st time he visited here on his SBK earlier this year:1st free time on the R1 was 1:36.690. Here his first free time on the M1 was 1:35.052. He improved over 3.4 seconds to take pole with a 133.270. Food for thought! Step out on that branch if you must. I think he will do exactly what he said he would and qualify around 8th-10th.

FIRST PICS: Ben Spies’ Yamaha YZF-M1

RE: Simonchelli, showed the agrression that the top riders in motogp have in abundance, he fkin finished on the podium on a wsbk debut, LOL Posted by SPIDEY Well technically he crashed out of his debut, and podiumed in the second race. Spies was punted off the track (twice) in his debut and went on to record the fastest laps of the first race then won his second race going away!

KTMKen Slow down a minute there. I was referring to The Engine rule for 2010 not the kit he will have VS Fiat Yamaha. All of them will have to cope with the ridiculous engine rule next season.
