After this year Spies will have "EXPERIENCE" on practically all of the tracks the MotoGP guys run on. Lets take a quick look at what he has done on the 2 tracks he actually had experience on this year... Complete Anhilitation over guys who have raced there for years! If you are vain enough to believe that this kid wont be competitive in MotoGP you need to snap to, before you wet the bed!

The one clear message he has sent to every team owner in the world is that he can adapt rapidly to a new bike, team, tires and tracks at the drop of a hat, and be the fastest guy at nearly every freaking one of them! That kids, is lightning in a bottle and all of them want it, price no object!

My comment about Stoner seemed to ruffle some feathers. My comment is based on A) Stoner romped here last year by over three seconds and B) He has been "en Fuego" since his sabbatical.

Until the Paddock gets too congested to carry out a professional race meeting. Motogp would kill for such excesses! Maybe they will resurrect the old 50cc tiddlers to backfill behind the 125's? :)

Who knows, maybe a switch to Pirelli or Dunlop rubber would equalize the field a bit?

I'm not even sure they (the Buells) will be legal to race next year?

Methinks the Ducati PR people need to step up their game! This video was just dumb! Yamaha has released a few recently to benchmark off of.

I wish that Yamaha US (now Graves Yamaha) would pull the factory team out of the DMG Sportbike (AKA the Buell Cup) class and send them to Europe to run WSS. I think both Herrin and Aquino are fast enough to run in the top 10 in WSS. They are being wasted in this series!

You definitely have to empathize with Haga. To have come so close and walk away empty handed yet again would be a tough pill to swallow. But Haga is a professional and he will again be the man to beat next season! The problem is that you have some young sharks in the tank now that have smelled the blood, and witnessed his demise under the relentless pressure from Spies. And will be attempting to do the same thing next year. Of those pretenders to the throne, Crutchlow is showing me the most speed out of the gate with Rea and Fabs right there. The new found speedy and consistent Haga will be a formidable opponent though!

Impossible to compare Ben to James so at best you can call it speculation. They will be on divergent packages at Valencia so even that will be a non comparison, though some will try! I for one would love to see James and Ben thrown together at the Suzuka 8 hours!

By my estimation it will take an average finish of 3rd-4th place at every race next year to do the deed. That would be an approximate average improvement of 2 positions per race from this past season for Johnny. Very achievable if he just rides within himself and the confines of the racing surface.
