F1 » Max Yamabiko: De-constructing Pirelli de-laminations

The fact remains that Pirelli has asked repeatedly for more track testing of the tires and the FIA and the teams have rejected their pleas. The failures are squarely on the FIA and teams' shoulders and it's time for them stop paying lip service to safety and spend the time and money to make sure their drivers, team members and the public have safe tires during future F1 races.

MotoGP » Lorenzo plays down chances of Indy win

I get the impression from what Val and Jorge say that they are unsure where they stand at Indy. With the Repsol riders playing spoiler the prize will go to one of the Yamaha men and their placings at every race will determine who takes the championship. They know each other so well now that they must know how finely matched they are and I suspect they each wonder if they can take enough risk to pull it off. What a season!

F1 » Rosberg airs concerns over Pirelli tyres ahead of Monza

The teams want it both ways. When the tires are reliable they complain that Pirelli is too conservative and when the teams push the tires too far they blame Pirelli for "risky" tires. Either way Pirelli is always the villain! Until the FIA and teams commit to financing proper track testing for the tires there is no solution to this mess. I wonder why Pirelli still wants to continue in F1!
