MotoGP » Suzuki plans Barcelona MotoGP test return

My semi-educated guess is that RdP will be the European rider, which strongly hints at the possibility of Team Aspar being the Suzuki team in 2014. There is a history of negotiations between them (Aspar wanted to use Suzukis when he first moved into MotoGP). I'm sure Aleix Espargaro would be delighted at the prospect of riding a prototype again!

MotoGP » POLL: Who is the most impressive 2012 Champion?

I guess this will make me a fool in rockmount's eyes, but: a "would have been" kind of statement cannot, by definition, be an "undeniable fact". Surely a fit Casey Stoner would have been a serious contender for the title. The (undeniable) fact is that he made mistakes, fell in Sachsenring and Indianapolis, got hurt in the latter and had to miss a few races--just as it happened to Lorenzo last year and to Pedrosa ... well, pretty much every season since he's been in MotoGP. What "would have happened" in any of those cases is pure speculation ...

MotoGP » POLL: Who is the most impressive 2012 Champion?

All three very worthy champions, but I have to go with Marquez for pure speed, excitement, and spectacle--he was clearly on a league of his own, a step or three above everyone else. Lorenzo also very impressive for his combination of speed and consistency. Cortese also showed admirable speed and maturity, although his job was made a little bit easier due to the bike advantage and the inconsistency & errors of main rivals Vinales and Salom. But all three very deserving champions without a doubt.

MotoGP » Moto2: Nico Terol inks two-year Aspar extension

I beg to differ ... Terol may not be a "natural" as Marquez or Pol Espargaro are, but he is a very methodical, hard worker who takes his time to learn and who makes progress step by step, steady but surely. He's from Alcoy, in the Valencia region, has known Aspar for many years, has great rapport with the team and feels embraced and supported by them, which is exactly what he needs in order to grow as a rider. I am sure he'll be better next year and even better in 2014.
