MotoGP » MotoGP Rider of the Year vote: Full Results

Hang on Codger... I'm a LONG time Rossi fan and think he truly is the GOAT. I also didn't vote for him within my top ten in this poll... now why wouldn't I? Simply because as it was a RIDER of the YEAR poll, there were 10 other riders I placed above him (IMHO). So, am I a hater now? Well it doesn't make me rate him as a rider any less or decry that he still took 6th in the champ on an old nail... it just means that IMHO, there were 10 more deserving ROTYs. (M1M succinctly nails this concept in the second post in the thread.) Incidentally, I put Lorenzo at the top and Pedrosa second and still fully stick by that, but I completely understand why some thought Pedro deserved the top spot, which could be argued in a number of areas in terms of ROTY. By similar tokens, Stoner third seems a bit false. Some serious rider and racing mistakes in the season had me placing him 6th, so for me, I reckon 3 other riders out performed him in ROTY terms this year. Fanboyism aside (you'll never get ri

WSBK » Melandri: Tom Sykes was the real champion

I do wish people would think before posting. Italians talking about Italians in Italy. I wonder just how much coverage of Tom Sykes' superb achievement adorns Italy's media... much less "question" stuff they don't even cover?! So it's not Melandri who's a d*ck... quite the opposite in fact, for simply putting into words (essentially in the Italian Media) what many people across the sport are already thinking.

WSBK » HAVE YOUR SAY: Who deserves Magny-Cours applause?

Sour Grapes??? Where??? I simply stated an opinion... a reasoned and circumstantially appropriate opinion and an opinion many here would agree with. Biaggi won the title fair and square, but by little more than a whimper and the roll of a die in the end. It's a valid opinion given all the circumstances to say Sykes deserved it more. As you so ineloquently put it, the final result is final, and was never in question. Comeoffyouranonymoushighhorse (and grow a pair while you're at it).

MotoGP » Stoner crashes heavily in Indy qualifying

That was nasty, and I hope Stoner's not too hurt. Though I do know from bitter experience, if his ankle ligaments are badly damaged, he'll likely still not be riding next month, never mind tomorrow. As an aside, there's some shockingly pathetic comments from the extremists on both sides of the Rossi/Stoner fanboy divide on this thread. I'm genuinely embarrassed this sport I adore attracts such vacuous pond-life to its sidelines... not one of you is a real fan of the sport. Come on Crash, give real fans some form of fanboy spam filter system.

WSBK » Liberty changes view, criticises Guintoli

Liberty (and Effenbert for that matter) are an absolute embarrassment to the sport... but at least it very much sounds like the final death throes as far as Liberty is concerned. As for Sylvain... well I'm sure he'll rise well above this fiasco and soon be racing in a quality team, where he can more often realise the race winning potential he already has... cream always rises to the top.
