MotoGP » MotoGP officials explain Tomizawa medical treatment

The speed at which half ****d conclusions have been drawn and laid out as fact here are both shocking and embarrassing... not just because those doing it don't actually know, but because they so self-righteously think they really know all there is about what are actually rather simple basics of emergency life support. Now, like it or not, the following is very important... it also forms the basis for standard operating procedures for emergency trauma technicians and extrication specialists the world over! In the aftermath of an incident, when a CRITICALLY injured insitu casualty is not stable, or suddenly and rapidly ceases to be stable, then speed very much outweighs ALL OTHER medical considerations. When a trauma medic deems the situation to be so dire, it is undertaken that all means available are employed as quickly as possible to extricate the casualty to any facility with levels of trauma care and equipment better suited to the casualties condition and situation in the hope that

MotoGP » Tardozzi: Stoner is the best rider in MotoGP

Tardozzi is (and always has been) a jumped up, hot headed and loud mouthed stirrer who's raison d'etre is to make rash statements and whip up some minor controversy or other. He's nothing more than a storm in his own teacup and you can bet your boots (he virtually admits it), that this little "statement" is a crude attempt to rattle a few MotoGP cages with a view to a future foot-in. He'll lick whichever *rse suits his own interests best, and it's blatantly obvious here that he's sidling square up to the current Ducati MotoGP hierarchy to do the "honours".

BSB » Oulton Park - Race results (1)

According to "Harris was concussed and had a sore back but was sent to Leighton hospital for a further assessment, with no initial evidence of any serious injuries." Good news obviously, but why oh why does this fella keep getting rides??? ... How many more chances is he going to get before they realise he doesn't have what it takes at this level?! It's about time he did himself a big favour and hung up his leathers for good (and before he really hurts himself). :?

MotoGP » Bridgestone pleased to see lap records fall.

When such a huge discrepancy is proved to exist in the relative performance and supply of critical components over which they have no direct control, then it's a situation that the top teams/riders/manufacturers can't, won't and shouldn't have to tolerate. I can't see what the problem is with this concept. Michelin's tyres in their last two years of competition were at best inadequate, and at worst bordering on the dangerous. If certain quarters want to play politics or run hate campaigns around this tired old issue, then they ought to seriously examine their motives IMHO.

MotoGP » Misano MotoGP late-brakers list.

Jon, might I respectfully ask that you re-read my post. When understood in the context of your earlier posts, you will be aware that I was not concluding 'you' were "hard of thinking". I simply pointed out, that your castigation of "armchair experts" was a tad hypocritical in the circumstances... rude, well I thought not. If you are possessing of the intellect you obviously imagine, I'm sure you'll already take the myriad of 'snippets' of information at you disposal (even the apparently nebulous or seemingly trivial ones) and use them to help form a reasoned and accurate "big picture" of what happens currently in MotoGP. To not employ such eclectic or objective methods is surely blinkered.

"Trouble is things like this create too many armchair experts..." Ah, so you're the only "armchair expert" who's opinion counts... or perhaps you see yourself as their 'chairman'. :? Just take these as intended... i.e. simple facts at face value. For those of us who aren't too hard of thinking, they are simply useful little snippets that help our understanding of the bigger picture. The hard of thinking will always be a lost cause. "shimples"
