@The Morgue I believe Dani is one of the best starter on the grid, even exceeding Stoner as we've seen several times. But when it comes to 1 on 1 battle I put Lorenzo on a higher rank, to me 3rd place is well deserved. Just curious, if we put Stoner on the same machinery as lorenzo maybe 2nd place is more way deserved... :p

@The Morgue Maybe with same machinery Dovi would outpaced Lorenzo, but what makes you choose Dani for 3rd place over Lorenzo or Dovi?

Hey... look at Toni Ellias, the man was flying with a storming come back and being top satellite riders.. good job dude. Anyone has data about the bikes top speed? coz I'm pretty sure Rossi's speed was lower than Dani's bike, this very close time gap must be Rossi's skill matter :)

"I'l say it again, a few k's top speed means bugger all, and the minute difference b/w Casey and Rossi down the straight wouldn't be enough to prevent a slipstream. People still focusing on top speed are really showing their ignorance now." Damo, That "small" top speed gap of course means "nothing" to a class like Rossi, but it means too much for others. Yamaha needs to improve their bike so their other riders can compete with all ducati bikes, especially the one like Stoner.

who said the Yam is the best bike out there, that even slipstreamed a duc plenty of times this season? show up and give your comment please .... :p The Morgue, I think Bob Buttamasangy preferably mean Stoner was the underdog, by looking at his first comment in page 1, but how come Stoner = underdog?, He is the biggest dog that Rossi have to deal with.

Why the F1 Car doesn't have Traction Control in it? sorry I don't watch F1 ... with traction control I think Rossi would easily get in 1min 20secs or below.

.... and what we see is the bike seems flying through every corner and exit it like an aeroplane. With the development continues we will see new record at every circuit every year. So the races seems becomes boring again with this sophisticated technology, because a team with the highest tech will absolutely comes out as the winner no matter how skillful the rider is. The introduced of 800cc seems just speed things up not slowing them, in 4-5 years ahead even 600cc engine will too fast.

Since the introduced of the screamer engine (around 1997-1999), which much more aggressive and applying force constantly to the wheel and burns the tyre pretty quick. Only the skill of the rider could compensate for such a nasty piece of machinery while others with average skill we're throwing themselves off all the time. Maybe that's one of the reasons Mick Doohan was so dominated in his era, a Traction Control were introduced then to control the engine reaction, so the race will become more tight and enjoyable. With GPS things were much too far, The bike even knows which corner they're in and adjusted the right map not just for each gear but for each corner as well as the engine power ...

Well, Andrea Dovizioso scored overall 5th position on a satellite team. If Jorge was on a satellite team also (lets say as Andrea team mate ?), I think he's still at the current 4th position overall anyway from the skill and statistical point of view. But Hey ... That Krapasaki is a factory team :p BTW to transmutes a "krapasaki" into a real "Kawasaki" is simple, bring Rossi and all of his crew especially Jeremy Burgess to krapasaki team and let them do the job like in 2003 when they turn a Yamaha into a "Honda". :p :p :p
