WSBK » Biaggi: Aprilia isn’t just fast in a straight line

Just back from Portugal where I was unable (due to prohibitive costs) to answer some of the subsequent (to my former) posts. Firstly, although trackside, my view of the race far from being impeded was compounded by a huge screen located directly in front of my vision which afforded me the luxury of experiencing the ultimate viewing pleasure of the racing/ combined with the fantastic first hand vista I had of a large section of track. Secondly..far from being a Haslam fanboy, I have considered him, throughout he's career probably too harshly. I have constantly questioned he's abilities as derived from nurturing and opportunity rather than out and out raw talent. Adding to this, I have admired

designed for somebody of a considerably more diminshed stature managed, with much much less experience, in one race weekend, to finish in Max's wheel tracks. To concur, I am astonished at Leon Haslams achievments, He rode more classic lines than 'Mr Classic' himself, he delivered far more on far less, he made less mistakes and, had it not been for the inherent nature of the track, would have beaten Max in both races. As an adendum..Max has in the past, been brutally quick at blaming equipment and teams for he's poor results, it is dissapointing therefore that he does not praise Aprilla's spectacular efforts once he finds himself on superior machinery! This clearly indicates that he likes to

greatly Max's contribution to motorcycle racing (although only 250gp). Too many incidents and barren years have passed since then to determine that Max is anything other than an extremely good motorcycle racer. Max had long enough in motogp (and gave enough excuses) to prove that he was not a worthy champion in the premier division. He has had, also plenty of time in WSB to prove himself. This year he is on a machine which is the closet thing to motoqp bike not in motogp. He is riding in a team moulded around him and, riding a bike built purposely for him. And yet Leon Camier in his first meeting as a 'works' rider, on a track that he was completely unfamiliar with and on a machine

WSBK » Phillip Island - Superpole qualifying times

All genuine fans have waited months for the season to start and.....a bitch fest against To52eland already????? Most seem over eager to draw derogatory comparisons which, only belittles the quality of the WSB field this year! Think, if Tose is not on top, where would the riders which are above him manage in motogp? Makes me look at WSB in a whole new light! i.e. Tose finishes say, only 8th tomorrow, how good then are the seven above in comparison to motogp riders?
