F1 » Vettel: This is just unbelievable

I think Vettel did a great job this year. He didn't have the best car on many occasions and still managed to prevail for the championship. I'm not sure why many of you don't think he is deserving, he works his butt off to win. You could see his talent even in the Torro Rosso. He has to be sure had some growing pains along the way but he has learned his lessons well. Congratulations Seb Well Done.

F1 » Whiting to look again at Mercedes controversy

There is a saying "What's good for the Goose is good for the Gander" Last year the RBR was under scrutiny and it was ok with pretty much everybody, that is not a Horner or Vettel fan. This year it's Mercedes turn, next year it will be somebody else. It's not good for the sport but it is the reality. While the Merc is not on pace now, if they sort out the car the improved balance in the DRS zone and more importantly coming out of the DRS zone may be a big advantage. If I were a competing team, I would be asking if it is legal before I spent any resources attempting to implement it on my car. Really, if they all just came out and raced whatever they built and didn't challenge the rules, what would we talk about?

F1 » FIA give McLaren, Ferrari exhausts all-clear

I'm not the least surprised that using exhaust flow to aid the aero continues. The only way the FIA could stop the engineers from attempting to use the flow would be to require the exhaust header to continue beyond the bodywork and spoilers, and that may not be enough. If I recall hasn't the mapping that made the blown exhaust so effective been banned this year along with the exhaust placement? The lose of the ability to add all that flow in the corners should reduce the effect of any exhaust placement/routing gains for the most part, but as we all should know this is a game of hundredths of seconds per hour or per lap. Really the tech and engineering battles are more interesting than the racing the last couple of years. I still think the FIA should specify a length, width, height, maximum displacement, and minimum acceptable safety standard and let them go at it. Just a thought Dave

F1 » Ecclestone: Lewis' management deal 'a disaster'

I have to agree with Bernie (just this once)Before management change very focused, very fast, under control, on his way to being one of the greats, after management change not so much. Have to also say that it may have been the problems he's having in 2011 that were the root cause of his split from his father in 2010. The deal with XIX Entertainment will pay off in the long run financially, but he needs somebody who he can trust to help him make solid decisions off the track so he can focus on his driving.he only spends about 3 1/2 days every two weeks in the car those other 10 1/2 days are where the problems arise. Next spring he may be the class of the field, but only if he is mind and body in the car.

F1 » Ecclestone sets Austin deadline

Any one who compares Texas to India is an idiot! Nobody will starve to death in Texas this year (unless it's through criminal action), because the government that is balking at $25 million for a race is required to make sure there is public assistance for those in need. Texas wont be bullied by Ecclestone because they don't think having a race in Austin will give them any more prestige. That song might work with emerging countries but not here. This is all about Ecclestone. He continues to grub for more money with a series that is dying because of his mishandling. You can't keep driving up the cost and expect to maintain profitability. Silly concept. Let's look at an exmple: Everybody who watches F1 knows who Ecclestone is, because he's always in the news messing up the works, I'll bet there aren't 10% of the people who watch any other racing series that can tell you the name of the directors of the series. Hopefully Ecclestone will be put in jail or forced out before the series c
