But this will come at the expense of not having the bike developed according to their way... Suter have 13 riders with 6-7 teams, so it's hard to have a say in the bike development program. In fact this is a factor why teams like Pons Racing, JiR, and SAG (Stop And Go Racing) went to their respective chassis manufacturers, to have the bike their way. Either one, I just hope Aspar did not switch chassis again this year... the more they change the more they remain the same.

nobody in moto2 has test the machine at qatar before... so the comparison of the first practice session and the winter test is very unfair. it's an uncharted water for moto2 teams, let alone rookies... i do believe the clear indicator of close racing is at Jerez... so please don't make premature conclusion just with this first practice session. in fact it's quite interesting to see how many seconds they can shave before the qualifying session... :)

the purpose of testing is of course... to test the bike and ironing out any problems, either potentially or actually. so outright speed is never the case at this time. the official engine itself, may behave differently compared to the units used in the earlier testing. so again, it's all about getting things right first. not fair to judge the whole class only with this one test... face facts - when one-engine multi-chassis formula like Formula Ford can work so well in providing its racers with greater technical abilities and closer racing for the fans, then why not moto2?

i agree with that... being a Malaysian myself, i still watch the races despite there is no rider with the same nationality as me for a long time. of course, who wouldn't be proud when someone from their country competing in motogp? but that's not necessarily the case for true fans... as for motogp community itself, it somewhat a must to have Malaysian GP... the riders love the Malaysian weather (especially when it hot, of course!), and since its inclusion it has become a permanent testing fixture for teams, starting way back from the days of Shah Alam Circuit. Dorna makes a natural choice by retaining Malaysia... but the point of "having Malaysian rider" is simply way off the mark

Its the record, get it?-NBR if records is everything to be considered a legend, then please have a look at F1 - Gilles Villeneuve has only won 6 times throughout his 5++ years career before his death. yet for all his stats, he was considered a legend among F1 fans even after more than 20 years. is it solely because of of his record? with all due respect, it takes more than just record. it's about skill, determination to perform at best, and above all dedication to racing. all that does not necessarily translated into good results and records, and unfortunately when they race to push for that good result, they paid the ultimate price for it. again, is it all about records?
