WTCC » BMW cuts back for 2010.

couldn't agree more with Paul. with BMW's current state, it would be better to race something that they can sell rather than spending millions on "R&D racing" like F1 or DTM. even with DTM's limitation on development, it is still "marketing tool" with competition between racers at its best, rather than competition to race and sell cars by the racers/teams/manufacturers. series like GT or WTCC would be the best option for BMW to go racing for the time being...

because DTM is not international enough by BMW standard... they did not want to compete in a series that focused on Germany only. the series itself is more like a sports-prototype than a normal road-going car with tubular chassis and custom-build v8 engine - which i can say the European version of NASCAR.
