Surprised to see Hamilton as low as 4th. I though he'd be 1 or 2 higher. I dn't think Massa deserves to be higher than Lewis, as he managed 1 less point with a car which was just as good (if not a shade better). He also had Raikkonens 'support' (China) but Kovalainen was never able to help Hamilton.

Having watched the whole thing on TV i thought it was great, and nice to see DC do so well as well as Priaulx beating Ekstrom was another great race. Well done to Schumacher and Vettel on a 2nd straight win and well done to Loeb on his 3rd win. It's a shame the man against machine race didn't go ahead but that's the British weather for you.

I agree. Perhaps he should have been given an F1 seat a few years ago but he's done lots of miles in an F1 car and I think he'd do OK at Force India. I watched quite a lot of that DTM season in 2005 and was surprised no-one gave him a try then and I followed it a little bit this season and he did a reasonable job in a year-old car. Given Honda's demise it will be nice to see another Brit on the grid (even if he does get bugger all coverage by being with a tailend team)

To be fair, i thought DC was the worst this year (Webber made 25 points in the same car) and I don't think Nakajima was the worse. Given it was his first full year with a poor car his consistent early points finishes were a reasonabloe attempt. DC only had 2 points finishes all year. I don't think Nakajima set the world alight but he didn't do the worst job out there. Its only a poll and driver favouritism comes into it but still a reasonable representation of how most pundits would have ranked the drivers.

Congratulations to Sebastian on a fantastic season (from Monaco onwards) He's just as deserving of the driver of the year title as any other driver. I think the only bit of luck involved with the Monza win were the fact that the conditions evened up the field somewhat but still, he did a great job beating Heikki on a similar strategy and you can't say the spray did it for him as after 3 laps he was so far ahead, Heikki and co had no spray! Obviously he still has a long way to go and I think there are better drivers in F1 and next season he'll be under pressure to perform as he's been doing recently and the 'new Schumi' tag which is putting too much pressre on him. I wish him all the best.

I voted for Vettel as my top driver but I was surprised to see Hamilton and Alonso 4th and 3rd. Massa will probably get it in my opinion but both have done good jobs this season. I think there are a few people who have voted for their favourite though. I would disagree somewhat with Vettel being lucky as he outperformed his teammate, who wasn't too bad (just had bad luck)and ended up best of the rest behind the top 6 and Alonso. If STR had their '08 car from Melbourne onwars, he could have been up with Heikki. I think Alonso and Vettel both surpassed themselves but were aided by fast improving cars.

Why not??? With the new regs its more open if you can adapt to the rules quickly and with Newey and their budget, I see no reason why RBR can be up there. I don't think they'll be challenging for titles but I wouldn't rule out a win or some podiums. If a well setup Toro Rosso can win, you'd think a Red Bull could win given the right circumstances. Good luck to him.

It's nice to hear this as I thought it would have been a procession if the SC didn't come out. The problem it that there isn't much room for modifications but they could cut out some of the chicane sections and have the straights lengthened but that's about all they can do. They had the long straight leading into Turn 7 but it was so bumpy offline. I feel this needs to be flattened out but didn't you love the sparks flying and the cars bottoming out on that part of the track. It was a nice throwback to the 80's and early 90's. Hopefully the new rules will aid overtaking anyway.

I am surprised Kubica was voted only 5th, as I, like most of you would agree that he was probably one of the top 3 drivers behind arguably Alonso and then maybe Hamilton and Vettel. It will be interesting to see who the top 4 are. I'm predicting Vettel, Massa, Alonso, Hamilton in order from 4th to 1st.
