Thank you GoFstr - I wasnt 100% sure and have friends with Bisha's so figured Scoobie doo wud be the same. Right pigs ear of it by Whoever (ir)responsible. Scooby have designed the new roo to be two wheel drive, doubt it will be any good. For me the new Sirocco is going to pee on all on asphalt but wonder even raised if it can cut mustard on gravel

Promoting 2 litre cars is wrong for the sport. We need to get back to basics. Up to 1300/upto 1600 used to work so well - ok we moved on so why not have upto 1400 and up to 1800 and keep as many young new drivers in the sport with Group N as possible.

As far as I understand the new regs - but dont shoot me if I am wrong - it has been known! - scoobies are entered as s2000 and can be upgraded to wrc. It is, from what I understand, an effort to help the privateer with a cost effort to get into a format and stick with it for a season before upgrading if he/she wants. Whatever happened to the "clubman" cars we used to have when I was racing! Upto 1300 CC - they were fabulous fun, cheap and cheerful. I raced a little Toyota Starlet for 5 years same effing engine! and won class every year! peed on all other in the class (Lada was a big favourite) but I was living in Greece - but did the Acrop 3 times - once with starlet 2 with corolloa gti

meanwhile of course they have missed several important opportunities. One saving money the other increasing competitiveness. They should limit the salary paid to drivers without exception. Give them "bonus" money for 1st/2nd/3rd yes - but also changing the points system is vital to encourage the sport to be more interesting. 100 points for a win.20 points for fastest lap, 25 points for pole position. 2nd place 75 points 3rd place 50 points and then start with 20 points for 4th all the way down so everyone gets points. Every team should get equal amount of money from advertising revenue.

There are some (team orientated I am sure) worthy items on the list. Trying to police a budget will be impossible of course. So the whole thing is still really up in the air. Whats good and whats bad. Dropping the Cosworth and the medal system is very good. What bad, dro[pping tyre warmers. These, as a driver of competitive wheels, I can tell you will help avoid accidents (very expensive) and possible injury (painful) and the amount of money involved is infinitesmal and a pointless exercise. What else? dropping refuelling will be good news for Ferrari (lol sorry couldnt resist that dig) but the idea is to get the cars to perform more economically. Shortening a race - No way - thats cheating

whilst there is some degree of harmony amongst the bloggers - I hope to hell that there will be no harmony on Friday. Max and Bernie were both in the know about Honda and probably long before Button knew anything (that the way it runs down hill right?) Now having some serious inkling they thought cripes we might loose our little earner (sorri about the pun) because it is very likely we might loose at least another one and possibly two teams. So being the sharp suited lady money loving pigs that they are, they came up with the idea of a Cosworth (huuuuhaaaa 20 years old) engine block and tackle to go fishing with. They believe they have so much bloody power they can really dictate?

I love Franks tenacity - having been in motor port I know how hard it is to find sponsors. However, whilst wishing no harm to Frank or the Williams team - I cant see how RBS can possibly continue to sponsor without having even more 2 faced bad behavior from the flucking thieving bankers of this world - they are such a despicable bunch of creeps. Sorry Frank - I just HATE banks for over 30 years I hated them

Rich - I "learnt" the craft with the bnutter, I was living in Finland at the time. Later on I moved to Greece - lived there for 32 years - and I did both seats. I had my own Corolla but worked well with an exceptional Greek driver who sadly had a personality failure. His driving was better than mine eventually and I sat in the hot seat with him in this and several other cars. an unbeatable team with very little money. It always bugged me the Greek peed in his chips because of his rather weird attitude. If he had been more political and more trusting and kind, he could and would have been picked up by some top manufacturers - Ford and Subaru were very keen on his ability but not his manners

Richard - my first outings were also in Finland with Cooper S sat next to the greatest nutter of all Makkinen and I mean Timo not Tommy. The new rules by FIA thwart teams and drivers alike. They would go for it but the stewards cancelled not the drivers. There is a safety issue here. Spectators can get hurt, seriously to dead. The sporting body must protect them. The hairiest race 4 me was Portugal where spectators scare us to death. They force you off line and results often are catastrophic. I and any driver hates any stage cancellation for any reason except safety.
