WSBK » 2011 data little use for Checa in 2012

re: shamarone "ummn, they did... for grandprix... you may have heard of it...?" And your point is? No-one forces Ducati to build 2-cylinder superbikes. Has anyone looked at the racewins this season? Aprilia: 6 Ducati: 6 BMW: 6 Kawa: 3 Honda: 1 Please tell me. Which brand is superior? Exactly: NONE! Ofcourse they liked 2011 better: Ducati: 16 Yamaha: 6 Kawa: 1 Aprilia: 2 ... but hell, Ducati can't have it all like they want.

A 40km/h difference? Where would that be? Daytona oval? Some random results: Phillip Island - massive straight. Race 2: Checa: 311,6 (Winner!!, - no slipstream!) Biaggi: 324,6 Haslam: 321,8 Monza - massive straight Race (a bit sh*tty, i know) Checa: 308,2 Biaggi: 324,7 Sykes : 315,2 (winner!) Haslam: 318,3 Moscow - medium straight Race 2 Checa: 300,8 Melandri: 315,1 Sykes: 313,3 In 2011: Philip Island: Checa: 301 Biaggi 318. The difference in topspeed got smaller in 2012 WC 2011: Checa!

Yawn... same complaints over and over again... Sure it's frustrating wenn people pass you on the (long) straights, but you don't ever hear them complain about the massive torque difference between the 2 and 4-cylinders. The Ducati catapults itself out of corners, especially the slower ones. You want topspeed? Buy/lease/build a 1000cc 4-cylinder!
