F1 » Red Bull re-signs Mark Webber for F1 2011

Ed, if as you say Vettel did not turn into Webber, then only way that the two could have collided is if Webber turned into Vettel. I am not saying either did it on purpose, it was a racing incident. You have been so pro Vettel over this that you cannot be surprised that you are therefore taken to be anti Webber and by implication be blaming him entirely. And who cares if you sponsored a car once ? Woohoo. So did Durex, and that makes them experts too, eh ? Anyway I'm not here to brag about anything, or invent a past. In fact, I'm not going to bother anymore. Bye.

F1 » Senna: With the right car and team, I can be F1 World Champion

I can remember sitting in the stand at Paddock Hill on the Saturday before the British GP in 1984 and watching his uncle scaring the living daylights out of the recalcitrant Toleman Hart throwing it down the hill and through the corner faster than it cared to go for lap after lap in free practice. I'll never forget it. Bruno, if you had a smidgen of the talent of your uncle you'd be making that Hispanic thing go a bit quicker than your are, but you are not. Stop dreaming. It may be you can make it in F1, but you'll never be all that good, or you'd have shown it by now.

F1 » Red Bull re-signs Mark Webber for F1 2011

I think if you believe what Mark says in this story then you are falling for the usual PR bulls**t all teams and organisations come out with to make you think everything is wonderful. Don't be so gullible. What else was he going to do and say ? Sign for another year and slag off the team ? If he was the guy that caused the Turkey crash, what other team will have a guy who drives into his teammate when being overtaken ? You can't have it both ways.

F1 » McLaren 'won’t make same mistake as Red Bull'

Also, as for the conspiracy theorists views on why Lewis was told to save fuel and Jensen wasn't, why can't we just believe that the two race engineers told their drivers similar info in slightly different ways, like two people would ? There is also the chance that Lewis was given a target lap time by his engineer and Jensen, who has proved this year he can think for himself, was left by his engineer to make his own mind up how fast to go, and caught Lewis up. Isn't that reasonable ? When Lewis got back in front, Whitmarsh's heart rate dropped back to under 180, and told their guys to obey specific instructions with finishing the race one-two being the priority.

Firstly, cknopp, you need to go and get yourself a sense of humour ! Secondly, I'd like to hear Jensen's view on this, and third, it's all very well saying we'd never do what the Red Bull's did, but let's wait and see. If the McLaren boys get to the last couple of races a few point apart at the top of the table, let's see some clean 'after you' racing, and then I will believe !

F1 » EDITOR'S VIEW: Is Fernando worth it?

As was pointed out at the time, the previous guy to win on his debut for Ferrari was ex-champ Mansell, and it never went as well for him after that too. But Alonso will be fine when the car is better, he can't do miracles, Bahrain was pure luck. His passing of Massa into the Chinese pits was fabulous, racing genius, but then he gets caught out in the last 600 metres in Monaco, only the incorrect penalty imposed on MS saving his embarrassment. Unlike many I like Alonso. Yes he's arrogant, but they usually have to be, only the odd exception like Button or Prost can win and be a pleasant chap too. Usually you're no good as an F1 driver if you are a nice guy, so its silly to hate him for it.
