F1 » Vettel: I was ahead

Because Ed, it seems that if someone dares disagree with you, from the safety of hiding behind your pc you resort pointless disgusting name calling which is what a child does when confronted with facts or situations it can no longer handle. As well as that you have also proved you have no class. I do not deserve the torrent of filth simply because I do not agree with you. If you have been brought up to believe that is acceptable behaviour I pity your circumstances. I no longer care about what you mean about Schumi as it clearly only matters to you in your little world. I am only interested in having discussions with grown ups.

Eddie, I am going precisely by what Horner says, Vettel 'moved across too early'. Can't get any clearer than that. Avoid an accident, especially with your team mate, is rule number 1. Vettel didn't try to avoid an accident, he appeared to be looking for one. Like I said, just because you are in front, doesn't mean the other guy has dematerialised. You can't go around driving into people just because you think they shouldn't be there, you still crash. Shows a level of immaturity and arrogance that is usually what people accuse Hamilton of. You know exactly who would have got the blame had Lewis been involved, the usual haters would want a year's ban, even if he'd been in Mark's place.

F1 » Desperate Vettel hands McLaren Turkish 1-2

It just goes to show that, never mind all the back-slapping and buddy-buddy stuff that goes on between team mates who put up a good front for the media, all that stuff is only going to last as long as there is no direct racing to be done between them. As soon as racers get racy, the instincts can't be suppressed. Lewis and Jensen seemed to accept a bit of minor jousting, perhaps because Jensen realises that Lewis is just too racy and aggressive for Jensen to get the better of Lewis in that way, and it isn't his style, but Mark and Seb are a different matter, and now I think it will be warfare at Red Bull, which will only play into the hands of McLaren and the others.

Horner is only trying to be even with his drivers, but he actually says he (Vettel) moved across too early, and that is exactly why it is Seb's fault. It's all very well saying 'I was ahead', even if only by a matter of centimetres, but that doesn't mean the other car no longer exists. It is still there, and if you then move across and drive into it you crash and, well, it is bad driving and your fault. If you drive off the road, you can't say 'I was ahead of where the track went' so it's the tracks' fault. Everybody, it doesn't matter who you are a fan of - you won't get struck by lightning by simply saying it was your guy's fault. It won't change anything. Try it.

F1 » Turkish Grand Prix - Race results

Well it seemed to me that Seb started to move over on Mark a bit early. Can't really see how it's Mark's fault, he was only holding his ground, and he is not obliged to get out of the way. All Seb had to do was keep driving straight ahead. The corner was his anyway, so why move across ? Completely Seb's fault, and before I get accused of being a Webber fan, I certainly am not, don't think he is all that good. Anyway, the main thing I want to know is why Lewis looked so underwhelmed with his win ?

F1 » Schumacher hit with Monaco penalty

Had an idea this might have been the outcome when it happened. But from reading the ruling as reported on this site, not only is this harsh, but I feel it is wrong as a point of fact. If the safety car had stayed out then clearly there can be no overtaking. But as the SC came into the pits obviously before the leader crossed the finish line the race was still 'live' and not finished when it came in, so in my opinion there was still an active race from the safety car line to the finish line. I'm no great fan of Schuey or hater of Alonso, but you have to say Michael was on it at that moment and Alonso was asleep. Very suspicious that Damon was part of the race steward team !
