F1 » Mosley: High Court ruling sets dangerous precedent

Firstly, can I ask what this has to do with Max anymore ? He is still acting, and Crash is still quoting him, as if he is still in charge. Is he ? An opinion for Jean Todt would be helpful right now, even if to say that Max is right and has some authority in this matter still. Secondly, he contends that the FIA can easily change the rules. That is as much of the problem as anything else. There is no stability in F1, and no confidence in a governing body that thinks it can just move the goalposts every time it doesn't like something that has not gone it's way.

WSBK » Crutchlow vows to prove his critics wrong

I read the article attracted by this 'vow to prove critics wrong', as I was interested to discover who his critcs were, only to find out that is simply some of the armchair no-nothing loud mouths who write to this site. So he falls off occasionally. He wouldn't be going fast enough if he didn't, and wouldn't get a top ride if he was considered a 'serial crasher' either. Rossi never falls off, does he ? Come on Crash, these people don't count. The only critics who should be listened too are fellow riders and team members, who actually know what they are talking about when making criticisms.

F1 » Rule changes on horizon prior to F1 2010?

Only if Damp is very old would he remember points for fastest lap, as that stopped in the late 1950's, and even I don't go back that far, but there has never been points for pole in F1. I think perhaps points for pole would be OK, but certainly not fastest lap, that would simply mean guys in 13th place blasting around regardless of anyone else on the track, possibly interfering with the leaders in the last few laps when light on fuel. I did say that I expected some tweaks to the new points system before the new season started, and I was shouted down by one or two.

F1 » Ecclestone proposes short-cut plan

So Alonso is a second ahead of Hamilton who cannot get past. Hamilton takes the short cut and comes out a second in front. Next lap Alonso does the same thing back, and is again a second in front of Hamilton. The point of that has been what, Bernie ? I don't quite follow how that has 'improved the racing', because there has not been any. I have watched rally-cross and never seen the benefit of the short cut idea, because of the very scenario I have described. It doesn't actually achieve anything. Any other 78 year old coming up with nonsensical ideas like this would be told by the nurse to get back into bed while she checks his medication.

F1 » Hamilton: I'm not the world champion – just the #2...

dpm - I don't need to read the cr&p that people post, I just have to look at who has written the comment and I can guess what it says, because it is the same sad gits that write the same sad purile tripe. I just laugh at these obsessed pea brains who constantly worry about what Lewis Hamilton is reported as saying. They have the same mentality as stalkers and conspiracy theorists who believe that JFK was killed by the Girl Guides and Apollo astronauts only went to the Mojave desert. Lewis Hamilton has a sense of humour and was probably just repeating to Crash what he had told Alonso to his face, as a joke. All the 'hate' is for the media, like Connors and Nastase, which was all pretend.

F1 » FIA confirms Briatore appeal to 'ensure F1 integrity'

As others have pointed out, all the FIA can do is appeal the appeal. Flav has not asked the French courts to find him innocent, just to rescind his life ban, and the this is just the FIA trying to re-impose it, but the chances of one French court contradicting the other with the same evidence is not very high. I don't really see how Flav can get back into F1 - who would have him ? - but it does have implications for the rest of his business activities if he has a life ban from motorsport's government. The FIA may be asked or told to re-hear the case or give a different punishment, but again that isn't really what the French court is there to do. Messy.

F1 » Mosley: If Flav thinks he's won, he should think again

Max says the credibility of the FIA has been harmed. Yes Max, it has been, and we know who by, too. You make the punishment fit the crime, something I think Max may have been told a few times by some leather clad females, but he has probably not realised that it should apply in real life too, or perhaps the FIA doesn't operate in real life. If Flav broke the rules by cheating, that's fine, but a life ban is completely over the top and smacks of vindictiveness, something that seems to ooze from Max.

F1 » Michael Schumacher to return to F1 with Mercedes GP

Never been a great Schuey fan, but you have to say it will raise the profile of F1 having him driving again, Don't get carried away, though. We don't know how good the Merc will be ( can't see it being better than the McLaren, new Ferrari, Red Bull for three ), and it isn't like the old days at Fiorano where they could test and test till the they got it right, and a tame tyre supplier. There are also many drivers who won't have memories of Micheal intimidating them out of the way, so he will find it a bit harder going against Hamilton, Vettel, Kubica, Alonso (who was never worried by him anyway ) and all the other new boys. But still good to see him back, making it an interesting 2010.
