F1 » What we learned at the British Grand Prix?

If a true reflection of opinion is needed, F1 should listen to a wide range of voices. Sadly forums are not the only place, yes they will have 1 experienced voice who would like to see x, y or z, but experience doesnt always drive something forward with new ideas. F1 needs to be passed on to a newer generation, the old generation has clearly run out of ideas.

F1 » Mercedes ‘sharpening pencils’ to address F1 engine costs

Easy - cut the prize fund in half, then share it out to each engine manufacturer for start up cost contribution for the year. Then cap the cost of an engine at 1million and remove the limit of engines per season. Result, big teams doing well can choose to be profitable or faster, smaller teams earn less, but spend WAY less. They can both throw an engine at a race weekend if they need to go faster... worst case of failure for anyone, 1 million. Finally, make all engine mounting points common, maclaren can test 1 ferrari engine and 1 merc engine to find out how bad their car really is!

F1 » F1: Hamilton wins Sports Personality of the Year

Saddest thing is that a Brish Driver won the F1 drivers champion and also the national broadcasters Personality award, yet the same old dinosoars come out with their comments. I would think that any true brit would ignore or be happy. As the same people have said regarding the rules and regulations.... if thats the playing field and you dont like it.... find another playing field. I dont see any WDCs posting in these forums, so my conclusion is that opinions dont really count. And... since moderators wont say anything to you, please use peoples real names and not some made up, immature name calling.
