F1 » Davidson joins BBC team

I'm happy for Anthony, he's a really good commentator. But please, let's stop all this talk of 'wasted talent'. The brutal truth is that in F1 terms Anthony was at best very average. He was out performed by Sato, who he himself was comprehensively out done by Button. So really: Anthony nice bloke and all, but in F1 terms, he just wasn't good enough to be offered a seat elsewhere. Harsh, but fair.

F1 » Honda F1 seeking UK taxpayer bail-out

Bunch of typical "not with my taxpayer's money!" comments. Jeez, if you lot had your way, the world would be an infinitely more boring place. Just because it involves the government, it doesn't mean all money should automatically be spent on some poxy hospital. Get this: hospitals are poorly run too. Does this mean they don't deserve money either? In the case of Honda: yes, any money loaned should be given with the prerequisite of the management being at least replaced. This does make sense.

F1 » Donington given planning green light.

"I've been going to Donington Park since day one". "The facilities were awful from day one". Derek Brown, how many 'day one's or which "day one" are you referring to? Yours or Donington Park's? Anyway, it's motor racing: engines, petrol, competition. The 'facilities' is watching motor racing. Get over it. If you want other 'facilities', take the wife and kids to TGI Fridays, Pizza Hut or the local swimming baths. Man up.

F1 » Blundell's view: 2009 F1 season preview.

Hannah, if there is no re-fueling, it won't necessarily mean shorter races. Right now the fuel tanks are on average big enough to do about 3/4 race distance. They will 'only' have to design the cars with slightly larger fuel tanks. Also, if there's no re-fueling, the drivers will still have to stop for tyres, so there will still be strategy and pit stops.
