MotoGP » Lorenzo: Now we need wins

@RawDawg "You have to take anything from the Spanish media about MotoGP with a grain of salt - it could spot on or furthest from the truth." It's not a journalist saying that... It's Lorenzo's crew chief himself. It could just be an engine of the first batch just tuned up to deliver more power, I don't know, but it was Forcada's words: the bike balance was slightly disturbed due to the extra power. Now it's their time to restore the balance (Lorenzo+crew+Yamaha).

According to Forcada in Spanish TV, Yamaha has a new engine with more power, and that has unbalanced the bike a bit. The bike is faster, but Jorge is still a bit insecure in heavy brakings. He said that they could see this comparing the Montmelo telemetry with last year's records. Jorge was faster in T2, T3 and T4, but in T1 (in the big braking at the end of the main straight) he was slightly worse. I guess that it must be hard to tune up a bike with the season started, having only the practice sessions during the GPs, but I'm sure Yamaha and Lorenzo will eventually improve the M1.

When he fell he was CLEARLY faster than Dovizioso. He just couldn't find the place to overtake because of the phenomenal Honda acceleration and the water all over. Now, going past Dovi was one thing, and reaching Stoner was something much, much more difficult, but he could have finished in the podium.
