F1 » Brundle: Total calamity coming...

When F1 has previously changed engine size (say when from 1.5Ltr to 3.0Ltr) they allowed a transitional period of a year or so where previous engines could be used. And also the turbos ran alongside normally aspirated engines. Obviously not possible in todays micro-managed sport, but at the time it did help the less well funded teams.

F1 » Sky Sports wins F1 International Broadcast of the Year award again

mrfill.......I only watch Sky when the Beeb doesn't have the live feeds. I find Sky just a bit too desperate, they don't exhibit much class, especially when they ram their mic. in on a BBC interview, something I have never seen BBC do. OK, EJ can be a bit of a pain, but he does get the gossip 90% correct, and the BBC gals (TV and radio) are not just flaky like Sky, and Gary Anderson = Top man. I will miss them when their contract expires.

MotoGP » Hiroshi Yamada (Bridgestone) - Q&A

"Private testing that finished last week" Just how "private" is that testing? What bike do they use, and if it's not a current bike then what's the use? If Bridgestone use Honda or Yamaha or Ducati then there must surely be some feedback via the mechanics, and if they use just one make of bike to improve their tyres then inevitably that Manfr. goes into the season with an advantage. Any ideas?
