F1 » Mosley: Resource restriction just lip service

This must be the moment for a serious review of the way that all F1 teams spend (waste) money. The biggest teams are ludicrously overstaffed, I don't particularly want to watch a car that's being micromanaged by a dozen people watching screens in a backroom. I want that put back to the driver in the car on the day, on the track, in the race. To try to get a more level playing field,I suggest a reduction in staff to say 200, a standard front wing, I would ban pit to driver (not driver to pit) radio. One allocation at the start of the year for tyres, and these tyres do not change spec through the year. At each race after the first 6 races, any team with less than half the points of the leading team will be allowed to use more fuel and is exempt from the "must use option tyre" rule. Maybe we should look at something like the CRT v MotoGP rules. It cannot be right that RedBull have 312pts while T.Rosso, Sauber,Williams,Marussia and Caterham have less than 25pts.
