F1 » McNish extends TV stay

I like McNish, but, I bet Sky are desperately hoping that the new new bean counter at the BBC drops F1, because Sky are desperately losing the viewer ratings. Latest figures show 5 times as many viewers on the Beeb compared to Sky (expect even more at the British GP) Having watched both I far prefer the BBC, and I think Gary Anderson has been a revelation.

MotoGP » Ducati: Full upgrade package for Laguna Seca

London Al.....but maybe with VWAudi group onboard VR will sense a change MUST be coming. German firms, especially car companies, do not associate themselves with failure, and I think they will throw a lot of money/resources at the problem. No longer are Ducati going to be a relatively small, underfunded, slightly chaotic Italian constructor. It's inevitable that they will bring people in from their succesful race division, and it may be uncomfortable for existing staff. but, in the end they will prevail.

F1 » Liuzzi: Pirelli needs praise for tyres

Sunny and Richard, I so agree with both of you. Wouldn't it be good if the FIA nominated two or three races per year (drawn randomly) where the tyres MUST last the whole race with no pitsop (apart from damage/punctures) Then we would see a true comparison between the drivers. I still have a few Firestone YB11's in the workshop - any takers!!
