F1 » Protest looming 'down under'?

2PAC, broadly I agree with you. F1 should be in my opinion absolutely without rules other than say, open wheels, engine size limit, overall length, width, weight. This would allow such fantastic progress to be made by creative engineers. I was lucky enough to see this over the years. BUT, we do have so many rules that it is now farcically a competion between engineers and lawyers, and what I was saying is, if its like that, then please dont lets have a season of protests, lets cut down some of the issues and fit standard wings that could also look reasonable, and then let the engineers have a free reign on chassis (But no skirts or twin chassis and auxiliary blowers!!)

F1 » Button: Red Bull won't have headstart

In recent years Mclaren have had to develop a poor starting car into something quite good by the end of the season. So, if they start from a better position (which it appears they are) and, they put the same amount of in-season development in this year, then they may look pretty useful towards the end. Hope so, Ive a few quid on Jenson!
