MotoGP » Dovizioso 'happy' as Ducati halves the gap

I've always said Crazy Joe was the man and I'm very surprised Crash have not done a thread about him, for him to fall off ( as we know not the only one ) get up and fight his way through the field and finish in the points speaks volumes to this auld fella. Can't wait to see his next outing. Did anyone notice the big smiling face on JLo when Rossi came into the parc ferme I doubt it was joy for Rossi's success more like I've got a winning bike.

@TroeFan@Codger. Have a look on you tube for Irish road racing UGP North west 200 Mid Antrim 150 Tandragee 100 and other Irish road races ( there are heaps of them) and you will see why I have such a love of racing little narrow roads and here they race between hedges, houses stone walls, trees, and telegraph poles. The UGP is the fastest race in the world and that's on super bikes, the mind boggles what could they do on GP bikes how ever I doubt there'd be many if any game enough to find out if there were we'd have Irish champions lol, Look up Joey Dunlop's last race at the Ulster it's a classic. It is on you tube. Cheers lads.

Continued. You know what I mean racers who never had the bike, had injuries that stopped them before they hit their true protential or even worse getting killed we all know of at least two who would have almost certainly won a WC one who most likely would have robbed a certain someone of a couple of WCs. @TrueFan. I f you look up the htstory of motorcycle racing look up who won what from the beginning of WC racing when you get the names look them up inwici and if they are there the chances are good you will find a bit of video on you tube then go to the European championships and be amazed at what those guys could do on a garden gate with an old smokey engine and a couple of bicycle wheels. Credit where it's due my friend.

@Codger. My family were avid followers of bike racing and so as a babe in arms I went to all local events, and no doubt went to world GP at the UGP from it's inception in 49 however being only 4 years at the time I honestly can't remember just little flashes here end there, I do remember being pi$$ed off when Duke left Norton to ride for Gilera witch incidently was to become my fav 500cc of all time ( music to my ears ) so yes I remember them all the MVs, Guzzis, NSUs, Mondials, AJS, and Matchless. when Ray Amm was killed I cried for ages. TrueFan I saw MBH many times and I was at the UGP in 62 when one of my favorite racers Bob McIntyre on the same bike as MBH, Jim Redman, Luigi Traveri and other WCs won the 250 UGP by over 11secs. Bob never won a WC he would if he had the machinery win it bin it or blow it up, so in my opinion one doesn't have to be a WC to be up there with the greats of our beloved sport, I can think of many as I'm sure you can who never won a WC you know what I me

@ TrueFan.. I have a video of an interview with Ago and he was asked who was the greatest of all time his answer was Mike Hailwood. I also recall Rossi being asked prior to a race in 06 whom he thought would be his biggest threat and answered Stoner, however herewego and his fanboy mates would say he was just stirring the pot and perhaps he was. I look at some of these posts and have to laugh, having followed GP racing since the early 50s and had many racers whom I had a lot of respect for a few of whom I even cried for when I was a child, respect is one thing but some of these guys actually worship Rossi as if he was their savior.
