MotoGP » Casey Stoner makes Ducati MotoGP return

abel748: While some are arguing that Casey never won on Michelin's: true, but lets not forget that he was on third rate machinery and under funded team, yet he still set a pole position for one race and if I'm not mistaken had a couple of fastest laps(correct me if I'm wrong). So, how does the argument that he never won on Michelins hold water. With the right machine, and crew he definitely would have won on Michelins.
Nice to see someone other than myself who remembers the truth.

MotoGP » Top ten most popular MotoGP races

AusssieNsw: @Outinfront Spot on mate I have followed for over 50 yrs and you are correct the 70's and 80's were the golden era of GP racing, and the guy that made GP and brought the modern follower to it and fought for safety was Mr B Sheen and all the guys riding today including rossi should thank their lucky stars that he came along when he did, and I might also add he was the one that brought the glamour to GP because every time you would see him he always had a few beauties hanging off him lucky bast$rd I really miss him.
Hi Aussie just got back on crash long story Yes Bazza was the greatest entertaining racer a real wit, back on subject however the largest crowd at a GP race was back in the 50s when 500,000 went to Germany to see the first GP superstar Geoff Duke

MotoGP » Casey Stoner to test for Ducati?

@mark.sandman.5 I'm soooooooooooooooooooo happy I grew up before the introduction of PC. listened to loud bikes in fact I had megaphones made for my bike( a tinsmith friend of mine) he made a muffler to screw inside plus a cover it was really unique and I could scream around the countyside for a while put the muffler on and cruise around and when the cops turned up my bike was legal lol. PC and fitting the narrative really pi$$es me of I prefer checking things out for myself and not believing everything others tell me and that includes newspapers and tv news. @Bubbleup. Yes the Ulster Grand Prix was once one of the great races of GP So happy it's still going but it isn't truly a GP. from the early 50s to the late 60s I seen.
