MotoGP » Valentino Rossi runner-up in Monza Rally Show

Oh it would seem you young ones never heard of John Surtees who won three 350cc WCs four 500cc WCs and one F1 championship. Mike Hailwood also went into F1 with moderate success. Gary Hocking was also a 350cc and 500cc WC who dropped out of bike racing after the death of his best friend Tom Phillis only to get killed in F1. Wayne Gardner is another who had some success in V8s. No doubt there are more but to say the beloved one is the only one to try different forms of racing is rubbish.

MotoGP » Smith: New bike everything I've been searching for

While not making any eye popping moves at the beginning ot the season Brad did plod along just getting used to the bike and slowly almost without notice and it would now seem he's nearly ready to get some stunning results. And yes I was one of those who thought he wouldn't amount to much. I do hope he hasn't hit the glass ceiling. There a lucky few who's talent is obvious from the moment they throw their leg over a bike. Others have to work hard and have faith in getting their dream realized.
