Jeez I'm not sure if I should buy into this fray. Never been a big Nicky fan, too much luck, however last year I really thought Marco would have given Casey a hard time, but he failed miserably. when Nicky got the nod I had a laugh but now It would seem Ducati may have made not such a bad choice after all, time will tell as a motorcycle race fan for 60 years and call it as I see it Nicky to some extent has made a bit of an impression on me this year and I hope he continues to do so. Most people cheer on their fellow countrymen before going elsewhere but some of the outright hatred on this site is unbelievable. Go o9n Nicky prove my opinion of you wrong

Dean for your information Casey has defended his WC a hell of a lot better than Nicky second last year and currently third, Nicky's been running mid pack or worse since 06. Speaks volumes to me and any race fan.

Shricker if you watched the Phillip Island race the speed difference between the Ten Kate Honda and the rest of the field was obvious the best rider that day was West and he got obliterated down the front straight The reason Ten Kate won the last ten years is because their riders had a superior bike. Kevin Curtin gave them a good run for their money.

Unfortunately you can't dig up dead past champions and put them on a modern bike, but you could put a present day champion on say a MV Agusta or worse still a Honda 500 from the past send them to Assen as it the only track left in MotoGP today and see how they do I bet they wouldn't even think about it and that's a relatively safe track. Even Rossi wouldn't dream of the IOM TT not a dream more like a nightmare.

Whatba horrible weekend for accidents,poor Mika he was going so well showing a works Ducati how it's done. Then Nori had a shocking crash less damaging but made for less interesting racing were the accidents of the 2 Ulster/Irish men Rea and Laverty just a bad weekend for me anyway. :
