F1 » Hamilton feared ‘payback’ in Bahrain battle

On the podium Nico stated he wasn't happy being beaten which was the right thing to say, prior to the podium when Nico got outta the car they were fine, even having a little play fight but you heard them both laughing....they were also chatting well when getting their caps and taking a drink, Lewis even mentioning he thought Nico was gonna pay him back for Italy. Now Nico will either learn from this and try to adapt his driving or he won't, bit early to be bagging him as second rate...this year will show either way given the supreme advantage that Merc has over the rest of the field, reliability aside it looks to be a 2 horse race. I really hope it doesn't end in tears, it would be a good thing to see but given F1's history in regards team mates i wouldn't be putting money on it.

F1 » Hamilton wins thrilling battle in Bahrain

That was a brilliant race actually, the front two being allowed to battle each other really helped but there were battles left right and centre. It was one of Lewis' best imo, holding Nico off on slower tyres...was saying to my missus there was no way he'd keep first place but he did. I actually forgot about the noise for a fair bit...not because i couldn't hear it but because i was enjoying all the battles going on

F1 » Hamilton wins thrilling battle in Bahrain

I questioned the choice of Ricciardo, i honestly thought RB had gotten Vettel a #2 driver, don't think i ever posted it on here thought but happy to be wrong and really happy for him as we met him a couple of years ago at MotoGp and he was a lovely bloke and was happy to chat to a couple of random fans who had noticed him. Maldonado....jeez, theey have just shown it wasn't the nose that caused the flip but their rear tyres came together....anyhow, he has gotten off very lightly. The guy is a liability although it wouldn't surprise me if PDVSA paid off the crash damage for him and whoever he crashes into :)

Oh yeah and just to add, we saw the Merc's pace....what was it...about 12 laps when the safety car came in? And despite racing each other they managed a 22 second gap to the rest of the field in that time...i think the commentators said the last lap was over 2 seconds faster than anyone else. Pretty dominant but let's hope they keep up a good show between the two of em

F1 » Rosberg: ‘There are some very strange things going on’

What really surprised me was the fact that Lewis was faster AND used less fuel. At the start of the season i felt fuel management would be a bigger issue for Lewis given his attacking driving style (no need to highlight his attacks in Canada lol). woulda coulda shoulda wonders how it might have panned out in Oz if both cars had maintained reliability. Plenty of the season left to find out i spose.

MotoGP » Espargaro: I could have stayed with leaders

Codger: It's a modern thing, with these youngsters. Jorge was encouraged to write his biography when he was barely out of nappies. Cal has always said what he could achieve if only..... Scott says he could beat certain people if he had their bikes etc. etc. It's a mixture of the foolishness we all have during our youth (I've still got mine), supreme confidence, and the manipulation of the Media. Just take a look at misleading 'headlines', riders answers being printed out of context, and so on. I say leave the lads to get on with the job in hand and we'll all see who makes the grade, in what is, after all, a far from level playing field. After all do we want them all to say " I'm not aiming to get in the points", "Sod it, I'll probably come last" ?
Very well said. Here's the thing about #41 (weird it not being Nori under that number but hey-ho life moves on), anyone who doubts his talent only needs to look at where the other bike is running with Edwards on
