WSBK » Superstock class to be phased out?

The suggestion of bringing two series under one banner just doesn't add up. If you buy up both series and are making money from both then why would you amalgamate them? In fact why would you even bother buying up WSB if only to pull the rug from under it? You wouldn't all of a sudden increase GP gates as most of us watch WSB and GP (and over here we watch BSB too)...on TV and at the track, we certainly do the lot in our house 19 or 20 rounds for GP and 13 or 14 for WSB and you remove those 13 or 14 rounds to bring them in with GP and then you take away 25% (or so) of your earnings potential? It's not just the ticket sales it also also the TV rights, merchandise etc etc There is room for both World Series and they need some separation in terms of tech..or lack thereof. Bigger grids for both and closer racing as already mentioned is the way to go :)

Well i've said previously that we need more bikes on the grid as have many of you. Fact is that BSB hasn't suffered due to "dumbing down" and the racing has been good. OK the BSB grid is looking a little thin atm but i think thats more down to the showdown. I think someone stated last year that Biaggi went through more than 40 engines last year and that is ridiculous and cannot be maintained. As long as the racing entertains i do not care if they are breaking lap records tbh. I think we need to get away from this Dorna hate thing. It is done and both championships are now under the same banner and there needs to be a distinct difference between GP and WSB. Oh and maybe "dumbing down" (not my phrase) will end up meaning more wildcards as all championships are looking to reduce costs

BSB » Provisional 2013 BSB grid

Just 19 riders confirmed so far although the season doesn't start until April so they still have 3 months. The last two years have seen the grids pretty much set by now. Are we going to get 30+ bikes on the grid? Well finger's crossed BUT maybe this showdown lottery isn't so loved by anyone except Palmer and his MSV cronies (eurosport spend too much time kissing the ring to be critical of anything MSV do). Maybe it's down to finances or lack thereof being shared with the teams and riders.

F1 » F1 Driver of the Year vote: 1st

Correct call and i am neither for Alonso or Ferrari in terms of support. I could not help but admire the way Alonso tackled this season despite never really having the best car. He was consistent and pretty much always did better than the car warranted. I do think Vettel should be higher but hey-h0, the poll was there for people to vote and this was the result Happy New Year all, i have a 9 day old baby to celebrate and for sure he is gonna love his racing if his mum and dad are anything to go by :)

Oh and love him or hate him, losing Casey is a big loss to the sport. Losing an alien is bad news, would have been nice to add a few more to that list rather than lose one and then potentially gain one in terms of Marquez... I will also miss the super slo-mo's off Casey sliding that Honda around Philip Island amongst others...even the biggest hater has to appreciate that...surely?

There was some good racing in the midfield, they hardly ever showed it and that was the main problem. In F1 when it stretches out at the front they focus on other battles further down the field, they should do the same in GP. Don't get me wrong, i'd love 4,5,6 or more to be battling at the front but we seem to have this illusion that it always used to be close racing in the past and it wasn't. There is a certain truth that some don't remember the boring races in the past where Vale pee-d off into the distance as that is their only focus. And no intent to bait anyone with that comment, i am a Vale fan myself. I've been posting on here a good few years and i don't remember all these "boring" comments when he was kicking everyones butt
