BSB » Brookes vows to prove he can be a ‘champion’

Both bikes Josh has ridden in the last few years (gixxer and r1) have not been as fast as their competitors at the time. He has had to over ride them to get anything out of them. This year that is especially true, the r1 just isn't that competitive at circuits that need top end power. Bridewell has realised that and rather than chucking it down the road he has taken the points the bike was capable of which is why he ended up above Josh on the final day. Don't forget though, he was on a competitive Blade before that. I like him but some of the comments recently will have done nothing to endear him to some fans. I hope the new r1 is competitive next year but as we know, first year for any new bike can be fraught with technical difficulties and Tommy Hill has gone with Kwaks for his team as it is less of a gamble, hope tb46 is in his team

BSB » History awaits for Byrne at Brands Hatch

This is going to be epic, the last time out at Silverstone we were treated to the race of the season (Race 1), just thinking about it now has the hairs standing up on my arms :) I am local to the track so will be down there for the weekend, hope the weather is kind to us, looking like a balmy 19c tomorrow Out of the two remaining title challengers i am going to go for Kiyo but what i am really happy about is that the man from Japan has made the title race this year, coming from nowhere to be in with a good shot. Whether it is Shakey or Kiyo that takes it matters not, what matters is that they will richly deserve it. It was looking like a walkover for Shakey which nobody wanted to see. Bring it on boys! Brands is gonna be rocking....and i've not even touched on what the Axe Murderers finale is going to give us in entertainment terms :)

F1 » Hamilton wins first F1 race in Russia

Good drive by Lewis but totally agree, utterly boring race for the most part. And also agree in regards to the car and its dominance, any other season and Jenson would have been on the podium but the works teams motor is so quick that wasn't going to be possible...especially given the extremely conservative tyre choice by Pirelli ensuring he could still do a one stopper after killing his tyres before the end of the first corner
