Even Micheal knows that WSBK will produce more interesting racing - its a fantastic series and is eminently more watchable than MotoGP (although I am a huge fan of both series).

Its good to see such a high profile sportsman like Micheal appearing in the bike paddocks - can only help our sport.

I have gone off him since Donington, but agree that as far as a man that can wring a bikes neck goes, he is awesome.

I think Rossi would stand a higher than average chance of doing the double let alone a top 5 position. I believe Doohan won all the WSBK races he entered as a wild card (except one where he crashed) although he wasnt a GP rider at the time. Bring it on

He was like that in the BSB as well - I think he won the last 2 races in his first year then somebody lit the blue touch paper and he was off. Guess he takes a while to learn tracks and get comfortable.

Japanese engineers were first alerted to the fact that K9 wasnt a dog after it failed to fetch a frisbie, bone, or stick, and showed no interest in marking territory even when parked next to a lamp post. It did however, give the post van a run for its money...

Max had a hugely disapointing year, although doubtless the wrist break had a lot to do with his overall placing at the end of the year. Love him or hate him it would be nice to see him back at the sharp end this year (2009).

Fabrizio is fairly consistent, for example we know that he will usually crash or underperform in the first race and then come good in the second one and challenge the front runners by the final lap :) In America its hard to say what happened - the suzuki just seemed on a different level to anything else allowing Spies and Mladin to dominate even ex world champions. However Spies seems to be more than a one trick pony and shows real potential on the world stage, pity Mladin couldnt have come over for a final blast as well!

Guidor, my wife and I were discussing the exact same thing only yesterday - stick to the race tracks Guy and build on your speed.

Poor old Jaque gets all the pain and no fame, although at least while being tester he can pretend to be leading a race by miles.
