Even Micheal knows that WSBK will produce more interesting racing - its a fantastic series and is eminently more watchable than MotoGP (although I am a huge fan of both series).

Its good to see such a high profile sportsman like Micheal appearing in the bike paddocks - can only help our sport.

What happened to the "technical partnership" with Suzuki - a company that can occasionally podium in Motogp and are title contenders in WSBK with the right riders? Maybe they should just borrow one of the suzuki's and paint the fairing green...

Last time they were even in contention for a world title was 1994!

I was thinking more along the lines of preffering to tell my grandchildren that I was world champ rather than AMA champ etc

The green bikes seem to be the end of many a riders career - its incredible how consistently bad they can be.

Introduce the WSBK points and format with GP2 racing between the big car events. Oh, and shoot Bernie before he comes up with something even more absurd. Looks like I wont be watching any F1 races in 2009.

It is sad when a rider chooses a domestic championship over the world stage because of money. The AMA motocross and supercross seem to attract world riders for the same reason, take Chad Reed and Grant Langston as prime examples of men who could have been multiple world champions. Maybe the focus has shifted from boys who want to be world champions to riders who realise they have a finite proffesional life and therefore need to earn the most money possible - such a shame.

This is a classic case of someone who would be better returning to the WSS paddock.

Rob, its ok I am in the process of getting another one as cant do without it! That and the cupboard is full of leathers and helmets which would be wasted if there was no bike to use them on. I am sure BSB will be fine next year, we just have to pick new favourites and learn to pronounce different names - simple!

I suppose you could look at it like that, but it really didnt take long as the printer is one of those quick ones, and the lounge floor is quite small - compounded by the fact that I printed the names in a really big font so my sleep starved eyes could still make out the names. I wish I still had a bike to ride, instead of sitting at home looking after the kids while on leave - damn it Dad had to give up bikes for us kids, I really should have seen this coming!
