MotoGP » Lorenzo: Marquez like Stoner, but never gives up

So Lorenzo says Stoner is perhaps a bit faster than Marc, but Marc is tougher because he never gives up. I think thats a fair assessment at the moment, with Marquez having all the exuberance of youth. Marquez is more like the 07 version of Stoner, before the sport had worn him down, except this is Marcs rookie year. There again 07 was Stoners first year on a factory bike. If you were to analogise them with dogs, Dani would be a whippet - quick but fragile Jorge would be a hound - tireless and smart Stoner would be a greyhound - the fastest breed, but not keen to scrap Marquez would be a Pit Bull - Never backs down Rossi would be an old Rottweiler - Used to be top dog but now not ferocious enough

MotoGP » In pain Pedrosa: I gave all I had for second

"He chased over 40 points from mid-last year. I am sure 21 points is a lot closer to chase." Much different situation this year. Last year Jorge never pushed to the limit after Misano because he knew 2nds were good enough for the title. So with Stoner injured Dani had nobody challenging him for wins. This year both Jorge and Marquez will be extremely hungry for wins, I wouldn't be surprised if Dani doesn't win another race. People who thought Dani had suddenly got stronger last year are in for a shock this year.

MotoGP » Lorenzo: I didn't think this was possible

@ Bozz It was an incredible effort by Lorenzo, to overcome the anaesthetic and pain and race on the same weekend as surgery is amazing. But a plated/pinned collarbone is possible to race with, many riders have done it. The finger injury last year stopped Lorenzo racing because they sewed it back on, but it wouldn't have taken the punishment had he tried to race. Usually ankle or leg injuries are worse wfor racing because they stop the rider effectively gripping the bike in corners. Have done a bit of track riding I still don't know how Stoner got 4th at Indy last year with the ankle thye way it was.
