F1 » Changes at Renault Sport F1

Nice work Renault - always prioritise fixing the blame over fixing the problem. How is appointing a new managing director going to change the engine design, the software, the electronics in the short term? Sure, he will make his presence felt by adding even more pressure and kicking some more butts, but ultimately it is Renault's product that needs modifying not its board of directors, and firing a bunch of engineers (as he probably will) and hiring new ones just means you've got more inexperienced engineers without any feel for the job. These changes are more for appearance than effect.

F1 » F1 ‘going to Azerbaijan’ – Ecclestone

Great decision Bernie, at least they wont have to spend a lot of money building grandstands, why not schedule a round in Antarctica? F1 should go where the F1 fans are, and if a track cant fill the stands then it should be forced to drop the gate fees or lose its place on the calendar. I hate seeing some of the newer tracks with a few hundred people watching from a pretentious crystal palace and just marshals around the rest of the track.

F1 » Boullier: We're not bitter over Kimi

Is that really the full list of eligible drivers out of contract next year - Flip, Hulk, Di Resta, Bianchi, Vergne? There must be alternatives for a decent seat like this. From the options available I would say pick Hulk, he's young, quick and aggressive and Flip has lost the edge since the spring hit him. If they choose someone quickly at least it will spare us from Villeneuve or Barichello or Kobayashi droning on about a comeback.
