MotoGP » Sepang Circuit issues Simoncelli statement

@John yes you can do cpr on the move but that stretcher is being carried not a gurney and people until you've done it for real or for a living you may not agree. It is difficult to do effective compressions and you may effect the people carrying him also they were in grass not concrete. I am willing to bet the farm the instant that stretcher was placed in the ambulance the medics went to work and everything that could be done was. It would have been a judgement call at the initial scene and being a medic i feel they did it right. You not going to hang out and compressions or do anything that delays those drugs or the AED.

I can see people are commenting with no idea about emergency medicine! Its life over limb so when med staff approaches Marco and he is possibly not breathing and pulse less or both are in rough shape you dont hang out and put a collar on. He needs to get in that ambulance start cpr on a solid surface. He needs an established airway, front line drugs to stimulate heart, breathing and a AED. Minutes count the marshals stumbled trying to hurry , should they slow down well maybe? Then eveyone would have accused them of moving to slowly. RIP Marco i will never forget you!
