BSB » Byrne: Bitter pill to swallow

Bendy: Shane Byrne should retire now. He's been unable to get the best out of his bike for months and it'll be harder next year.
That's exactly what I thought when he finished in 2nd, 0.688 behind Brookes in race 1 at the weekend. He's past it, he'll never win a race again, to finish that far behind the winner is just embarrassing...oh wait.

MotoGP » Danny Kent decides Moto2 with Leopard

People really need to stop comparing riders on their first year in Moto2 (or in Kent's case, his first proper go at Moto2), just let them get on with it. Riders are different, they approach things differently, they learn at different rates. Case in point, Alex Marquez, slammed all year long by armchair racers and commentators alike simply because Rins got to grips with the bike almost instantly, where as A.Marquez didn't, despite the fact that even before he rode the bike he said he was taking a steady approach and was in no rush.

BSB » Be Wiser Kawasaki withdraws from rest of BSB season

Ross Connolly:
Ross Connolly: I would imagine the crash damage bill from this year will have been huge and wrecked there budget
It's not the crash damage that has caused the team to withdraw.
Its got to be a major factor or they would be in a much better cash position now.
It's nothing to do with the crashes. Hill left, a lot of his sponsors left as well due to the poor handling of his exit from the team. Plus when AP Kawasaki has £200,000 exsiting debt already is it any wonder why they've closed the operation?
