MotoGP » Herve Poncharal (Tech 3) - Q&A

rbr46: LOL crash.net. Are you big BS fans or something? Removing my comment that tells the truth about BS clearly touched a nerve with one your mods. The truth hurts.
I think if you class Bradley Smith, a rider that can finish in the top 10 of the best motorcycle championship in the world, as an embarrassment to the UK then you live a very blinkered life.

biaggi: I have a feeling he will sign Sam Lowes. they were discussing last year to bring sam in his moto2 team but lowes decided to go to speed up.The other option is Alex Rins in my opinion.
Sam Lowes is strongly rumored to be going to Caterham Suter next season. No mention of MotoGP for him, he's not done enough to impress yet, currently far better riders and fellow rookies than Lowes in Moto2.

MotoGP » What now for Aleix Espargaro?

Realist: Miller on Bradl's RCV? Really? Without having to prove himself in Moto2? If that pans out, I don't want to hear anymore passport nonsense about the Spaniards nor the Brits.
If Miller ends up on that LCR honda in 2015 people will know it is only to secure the TV deal in Australia, which is up for renewal I might add. He might not be to people's taste but there is no doubting he's fast and talented...but there have been faster and more talented riders that have had to prove themselves at all levels of GP.

biaggi: If suzuki deliver a good bike in 2016 with the rule changes than probably vinales will beat marquez
All things being equal there is no way that will happen. Repsol Honda's MotoGP operation costs 70 million euros a year, I don't think they need to worry about Suzuki - it is being mentioned that Suzuki is already picking up where it left off in MotoGP, with a half hearted and half funded effort.

ProfessorX: LCR is a dead end...LCR is unfortunately an outfit that has never really had it together enough to get near the pointy end.
A little harsh I feel. They've not been blessed with the best of riders or factory support until recently. '06 Stoner as a rookie had an impressive year on the bike, that led him to secure a factory and world championship winning ride. '07 Checa was at the end of his GP career on a brand new 800cc Honda that never really performed in any riders hand. '08 '09 & '10 was ridden by De Puniet who was averaging about 28 crashes a season during his time there. '11 Toni Elias who struggles on a bike unless the front end is set up like an American chopper. and the last 3 seasons Bradl who is known to struggle to extract the last tenth per lap to be a consistent front runner.

MotoGP » Three riders for factory Ducati team?

MotoMarc: Ducati should not have extended Cal's contract for next year and just picked up Crazy Joe for two seasons on the factory team. Then they could have found a Moto2 replacement for Ianone's place on the satellite team.
It wasn't Ducati's choice to make, they only offered Cal a one year get out clause of his 2 year deal. The only way they could have got rid of him was to buy him out and that' would probably have cost them a lot more than what his wage is.

MotoGP » Three riders for factory Ducati team?

beastinblack: All manufacturers should have 3 factory riders. But surely if Ducati are not fully factory class anyway, they can have as many bikes as they want? Correct me if I am wrong.
Ducati are full factory. There is no 'Factory 2 class' only Factory and Open. They're allowed to do things a little differently so that they can compete (sort of) with the other factory bikes. Personally I think it b/s that the rules are allowed to be bent for Ducati, but that should change next season.
