MotoGP » Marc VDS claims 'binding' Jack Miller contract

mrfill: Miller is one of the new breed coming through the series and one of the big teams will want him. Oddly, being a non-latin will probably help him.
He best sort his attitude out fast then because this season the world has seen his true colours come to the surface and it's not doing him any favours with teams, opponents and fans alike. Furthermore this whole situation over contracts is making him look even less appealing.

MotoGP » Marc VDS claims 'binding' Jack Miller contract

Jakel: Miller is a kid in the very eary days of his career. What does he know of contracts? He is a rider. He has NOT said he won't ride for Marc VDS.
By saying things like "I've not signed anything" and "I'm free for next year" is in a way saying he doesn't want to ride for them. He wouldn't have had to name names but he could have easily have said something along the lines of "we're in talks with people". As for you saying "what does he know about contracts" you're making an excuse for him. He may not be aware of the finer details and political wording in a contract but I think he knows that he's sat down and spoke about his future career path with a team.

F1 » Gutierrez penalised for Maldonado clash

Personally I think it was a racing incident. Gutierrez moved out to overtake Maldonado on the brakes, but as Gutierrez made his move Maldonado went to make the same move on Bianchi. The gap Gutierrez was going for disappeared as Maldonado filled it going for his move, but it was too late for Guttierez to avoid a collision as he'd commited to the move, he couldn't have braked much harder than he was already doing. I don't like how race direction seemingly penalise every bit of contact between drivers, yet are so desperate for drivers to make more overtakes on track during a race.

MotoGP » Marc VDS claims 'binding' Jack Miller contract

mrfill:
Insidejob: Why would Jack Miller say he has no contract for the future if he has? Maybe his manager didn't explain the contract to him. There's not enough info to pass judgement here.
Possibly because he thinks he is so brilliant that he doesn't need to do moto2 and should be promoted immediately to the top level. Also, having won a couple of races, his stock has risen and any new contract will be of higher value. However, now Rins and Marquez are back on the button, his chances of the moto3 title is fading fast. Moto2 would be an ideal proving ground for him, not motogp. Besides, who would lose out at MarcVDS? Kallio or Rabat? Neither deserve to be ousted by this petulant youth.
I think you'll find that Tito Rabat will be moving up to MotoGP, I don't know where to, but neither rider will be 'losing' their ride, it'll be more of a promotion situation

WSBK » Sykes ‘puts gremlins to bed’ with dominant double

Painless: What do you want him to do, give Baz a bouquet of roses?
No but he should man up and move on and show respect for his fellow competitor and team mate. Baz has accepted that he made a mistake, he's apologised and moved on - there's nothing he can do to change what happened. Yet Sykes keeps going on, there's a good piece on bikesportnews and something Sykes said "been cost 43 points by my team-mate this year. I’m not going to cry about it" for someone that doesn't wish to cry about it he's keeping a very accurate tally of those points.

WSBK » Baz: The best race I’ve ever done

shamarone: re: "Baz should win for himself" sure, but this is not the time or place for "individual glory seeking".
What are you on about? It's a race, as a rider you have one desire - to win. If it was the last round and your team mate needed to finish ahead of you to win the championship and you the rider were out of the championship running then it would be a wise idea to move aside for the greater good, but we've only just passed half way through the season. This is motorcycle racing not F1.

WSBK » Baz: The best race I’ve ever done

The more interviews I watch and read from Baz and Sykes the more mature I see Baz and the more petty I see Sykes. A shame as he is a very talented rider but the language he uses when talking about Baz it's quite obvious to see that he simply expects Baz to let him through as he is the world champion and it just doesn't work like that.
