WSBK » SSTK winner Lussiana to make WSBK debut

"having accumulated 53 Superstock 1000 race starts over the years, though it took until that final one to notch up his maiden victory on home soil at Magny-Cours in 2014" That sentence is a tad inaccurate, Lussiana raced all of the 2015 season bar Assen! It wasn't exactly an impressive account in 2015, 4 DNF's, 3 finishes and only 1 of those was a points finish - 13th at Misano.

MotoGP » Rossi best and worst: Welkom ’04, Valencia ’06

ZeFrenchAngle: I never saw the South Africa race... My personal best Rossi win was the Barcelona 2009 race. It was unbelievable, two guys at the very top of their ability, him and Jorge, endless passing and re-passing, and that final corner ! ...Crashing in a race where he only needed to finish 3rd...
Watch it! 2009 Catalunya was unreal, the Italian version gives me goosebumps every time! For me the greatest pass was into turn 1 on the penultimate lap...round the outside of Lorenzo on the brakes, so close that Rossi had to pull his knee in! As for Valencia, Rossi carried an 8 point advantage into the final round. With Hayden finishing the race in 3rd Rossi could have come home as low as 8th to tie on points and won the title on race wins.

MotoGP » Rossi best and worst: Welkom ’04, Valencia ’06

Luvnit: Laguna Seca 2008 was a good one and Assen 2007 when he started in 11th place and won! Then there was Philip Island when he got a time penalty for passing on a yellow flag and still won! Then there is ............ Sorry, but too many brilliant races to choose from!
Almost every year there the best race of the season involves Rossi! '03 Phillip Island and the time penalty, '04 Welkom first race and win on the Yamaha, '05 Mugello 4 Italians battling to get on the 3 steps of the podium, '06 the Estoril battle with Elias, Edwards and Roberts Jnr, '07 Assen, '08 Laguna Seca, '09 Catalunya and those last laps with Lorenzo, '10 Motegi scrapping again with Lorenzo...as you say though, too many brilliant moments to recall.

BSB » McConnell splits from Anvil Hire Yamaha

Navelgazer: We need Jed PB67 - as a paddock insider he should have the gossip! On a more serious note, hope Billy is ok & will show up elsewhere, agree he's an exciting rider and I'd like to see him back in the class somewhere.
I have no idea on this one! There was a few things that drew McConnell to the ride, mainly the links with former sponsors like the Yamaha shop that's tied in with the team. Outside of that I've heard from a few people that have ridden for and have links with the team that's it's not that greatly run, certainly when speaking of last year. Hopefully Skippy can get back on a competitive bike for this season.

F1 » Vandoorne to make F1 race debut for McLaren

Equin0x: Time to step up boy... Vandoorne keeps boasting how he's 'better' than the likes of Magnusson and other past GP2 champions, Bahrain is a very well known track to him and thousands of hours in the sim, also he's been keeping sharp in the super formula car, he should be very well prepared. It'll be interesting to see what happens is Jenson out races this hotshot, his lack of modesty could nosedive his stock if Jenson beats him.
Button is a world champion with 285 starts over a 17 year career in F1. I don't think anoyone is realistically expecting the race rookie Vandoorne to beat him. What a ridiculous comment.

F1 » Alonso reveals collapsed lung, rib fractures

xsavior:
theeagle: ,,,,,,,,,,lets not forget the MotoGP stars that walk away from near 200mph crashes too.
Takes a lot more energy to slow down a car than someone who weighs aprox. 150 pounds. 10-20x (just in weight alone). Most MotoGP riders never go over 1.5 G anyways (wheel base is too short), unless they hit a wall, and then they usually don't get up.
I'd like to see you haul a 350 pound motorcycle around for 45 minutes with a broken collar bone, something that regularly happens in MotoGP. Foolish to undermine motorcycle racers, the injury's they sustain and the go on to race with.

MotoGP » Pons favourite for final MotoGP grid place?

owlockey: Zarco to the factory team then? I think there will be a lot of movement in MotoGP going into 2017. I'd like to see Lorenzo go to Ducati and do well, not a JL fan but it would definitely shut some people up.
According to a report on Motorsport.com Agostini has said that Lorenzo has a "super offer" from Ducati. I'd like to see him go, it'd be great to cement his talents by moving to another manufacturer.
