MotoGP » ‘Healthy’ MotoGP facing ‘optimistic future’

ProfessorX: I watched maybe 2.5 races in 2014, all reruns, and at least one was because I wanted to see MM dump it at PI.
I truly love how you've said the above, yet 14 hours earlier you've taken the high and mighty moral ground and said "The three biggest reasons I won't watch are [...] the level of exploitation, ie seeing people get injured and wreck their bikes and it being some highlight on Dorna's website" So you've purposely avoided the race only to hear someone has crashed and then you've actively searched out the footage to see the crash. So you're indulging in the very exploitation you're against.

F1 » F1: Verstappen reveals car number choice

Webbertron: Immature, no. If anything Verstappen has proven himself to be very mature (for his age). He has to be, all Formula 1 drivers have to be. Forget the 3 words you mentioned, because at the end of the day there is only one word that matters. Talent. Which is what we will be judging him on. Vettel first drove an F1 car aged 18, he's now a 4 time champion.
All these people slamming Verstappen just because he's young, it's very disrespectful. It seems his talent is simply overlooked and posters on here and other sites just assume he's going to wipe someone out on every single corner just because he's still a teenager.. What I don't understand is that people seem to think you must have been racing since you were 4 years old and have 18 years experience to enter F1...but if the driver is already seen to be fast enough why should they have to wait to enter Formula 1?

F1 » F1: Verstappen reveals car number choice

BtwnDitches: You're right: I'm NOT in favor of putting guys this young, immature & inexperienced on the track with 20 some other "seasoned" drivers who have certain threshhold expectations about the folks pulling alongside at 300kph. Call me old fashioned.
Age has nothing to do with it, if the team who've hired him think he's good enough then why should he be forced to wait? Inexperienced, again, it doesn't matter, if he has the qualities of being a half decent driver in his rookie season why should he be made to wait? As for immature, I've seen no evidence to back this up, if anything I've seen a lot of reports stating how mature he is. You're beyond old fashioned.

BSB » Halsall Racing to run Suzuki BSB effort

Abefan:
jlav: ive heard a rumour that alastair sealey will be on this bike. unfortunately its a bike well overdue to be replaced by a newer more competitive update.
Aww please no, not Seeley (the wee wizard???) not again. Put keith farmer on and at least then you have someone who will get wet results and steadily improve.
Couldn't agree more. Or retain Waters for a second season, anyone but the piss wizard!
